I was expecting to end up in Ithaca with a good scholarship but now I'm pretty worried for the rest of the cycle.

Note: per lsn I am the lowest gpa accepted so maybe that has something to do with it?
I got less than I expected given predictors and averages which bummed me out because I expected Cornell would be the most financially viable top school option. Now I'm realizing I could still have 6 figures of debt even with the money.

I applied in early January and had my first status date change today. It still says "your application is ready for review," however, so i'm not really sure what to make of it.

On the right hand side of the graph you can kind of tell that they have a GPA cutoff (denying some high LSAT, myself included with low GPA). However, those are stuck in the middle of a sea of admits. What happened there?
The 173s? I'm not sure, but probably just YP. TBH I'm more surprised that they bother accepting the people with higher LSATs and GPAs. Might be something about their apps that make it seem possible that they would choose Cornell even though those two 173s wouldn't. Or they just didn't like them. Who knows.

+1

I'm not sure what's going on but from everything I had heard I also thought Cornell would likely be one of if not my best option financially. They offered me some money to be sure but at this point I have a higher merit-only scholarship offer from a T6 school so I have no idea what's going on.

Could they be low balling to then be more competitive with negotiations and not have too much money tied up with people who end up expressing no continued interest?

Point being you're far from alone and may very well end up getting better offers elsewhere.

Invited to interview online yesterday; went complete 1/9. Is there any compilation of the written questions people have been asked?

WL'ed about an hour ago. LSAT> 75th, GPA<25th.

Kinda disappointed, but that's probably because it's the first response I get. Have two weeks to decide if I stay on WL.

I was placed on reserve, and opposite for me, didn't write an influence to apply but I thought I wrote a compelling why cornell..
