QUESTION: I applied PT and went complete on 1/13. Also went UR that day. Nothing has changed on my status checker until today. Checked my status checker just now and the Current Status Date now says 1/20. Does this mean I am UR2? Is this normal?

Thanks. Congrats on the acceptance, btw!Pozzo wrote:Sorry, night. Hang in there.Nightwing wrote:Priority reserve
I wrote a Why Duke too.
Now I'm just trying to figure out what went wrong with my application.
Pretty devastated tbh. It's my first result of the cycle and I'm worried some part of my app went horribly wrong and Michigan/UVA/Cornell will all waitlist/reject me too.

I'm not sure. I'd recommend peeking at LSN to see what they show.nimbus cloud wrote:Priority Reserve at Duke.![]()
PT. LSAT and GPA both above 75ths. Did not write a Why Duke, though. Not sure where to go from here, since I would only attend with a good scholarship. Do people ever get good scholarships off the waitlist?

Re: Duke Law School c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Depends. Some do, some don't. But the likely reason you didn't get in is because you didn't write an Why Duke? The ad com at Duke has explicitly said publicly a Why Duke is an important part of the application and they have no problem denying people like you without knowing why they want to go to Duke. Remember, Duke is the 3rd smallest t14 behind Yale and Chicago with only about 200 students a class. They truly do care about having people wanting to come to Duke because the class size is so small.brinicolec wrote:I'm not sure. Is a Mordecai/full tuition possible if one did not get nominated for it in the initial correspondence about the financial aid interviewing process months ago?

My anxiety about possibly not getting into Duke because of a lack of interest is getting too much. Writing a Why X today for Duke.
For those of you that wrote Why X essays, what did you include in your essay?

I went UR1 12/12 then went UR2 12/20, which made me believe I'd see a decision sooner rather than later, but here I am lolMr_Chukes wrote:Been in review since 12/12/2016 lol
