How long it takes for NYU to make a decision from a RD applicant after they went UR? Hope it makes sense I am not a native speaker

That seems to vary depending on your stats (which makes sense). I've been UR for exactly a month but some people have gotten decisions faster than that; however, I have lower stats so I'd imagine that could lead to a longer review process for me.
Makes sense. Prob I am in the same boat. Ill drink to that.

I'm an ED applicant (applied end of cycle on 11/15) and I just went from UR1 to UR2. Any idea how far off a decision might be from UR2 typically?

I give up for 2016. They have their "obligations" to ED peeps still.

Your LSAT is high. GPA issues?
International undergrads... yea, GPA.
NYU is my #1 choice, so I may be a little neurotic. Applied 11/9, UR2 12/9. Actually I feel OK.

Just toured NYU (after touring Columbia today). I had lower expectations, but the law buildings were fantastic. Very comfortable with a lot of space for students to hang out. The location in NYC is amazing. Very lively neighborhood. The actual campus is not as pretty as Columbia, but the facilities are much nicer and the neighborhood tops it by far.

Also, the law library was so cozy, yet collegial.

Loved it!

Of course! I am up in NT visiting my fiancés family a fair amount, so it is an easy trip. Also, maybe it was just because of finals, but Columbia students seemed a lot more focused than NYU. NYU students were chatting in the hallways and people seemed really friendly. I loved the vibe.

FWIW, I had an extremely fast review process, but some people with pretty similar stats to mine have had a slower review process. I think its honestly just totally random and completely dependent on the person that reviews you. If you got a busy person, you might have to wait a while.

Thanks for these reviews! So great to hear about the atmosphere, since I'm familiar with the neighborhoods (and kind of in love with the UWS actually) but not the law schools specifically.

Has anyone admitted received the admissions materials yet? If so, how long did it take for you to get it? Status checker says it was mailed out on the 12/16. I live in New York City so I thought it would've arrived by now.

I just got mine and I was mailed out on 12/13? It's just a letter and a handwritten postit. Nothing super exciting.

Believe Javalin0650 is referring to the admissions materials referenced in the acceptance letter, not the acceptance letter itself with the post it. Also live in NYC - got the same date on the Status Checker that it was sent out along with an Alumni Magazine. Haven't gotten them yet.

Ok good to hear that someone else in the area hasn't received those items yet as well.
