Just wondering about people's thoughts on this, as I continue to obsess about Columbia when I should be working on other things.
ETA: in other words, it's not just January applicants who might expect to hear in the next week.

So my GPA and LSAT are >75% and I still haven't heard. Freaking out and super nervous. Is this normal? When should I assume hope is lost?

I may not have quite as high a GPA as you (I'm median GPA, >>75th LSAT), but as another November interviewee, I consider you my brother/sister and friend, and I salute you.procell wrote:Above both 75th's... interviewed in nov/dec... radio silenceSchneidersbetter wrote:Sames! nearly every person in the Columbia spreadsheet with >75 stats reported getting either a Butler or a Hamilton - I think I saw one person who didn't report getting one and that person wrote "Canadian" in the notes column (dunno if that matters at all but w.e)oliverotis wrote:In the same boat as above posters. Edit: I am not implying that everyone >75% will get one of those scholarships. Just being naively optimistic

yeah, CLS tends to be among the most predictable in the T14 in terms of following the numbers (sorry if that is insulting, adcomms who might be reading this)...which is why the seeming arbitrariness with which they choose who interviews, and who hears when, and who hears by email vs. snail mail, is all so perplexing.theconsigliere wrote:nearly every person in the Columbia spreadsheet with >75 stats reported getting either a Butler or a Hamilton - I think I saw one person who didn't report getting one and that person wrote "Canadian" in the notes column (dunno if that matters at all but w.e)oliverotis wrote:In the same boat as above posters. Fwiw, I have a 173/4.0 and I didn't get a Hamilton, Butler, or any merit aid at all. I haven't added my numbers to the spreadsheet though. I thought my interview went fine; at least not substantially worse my other three interviews, which all translated into acceptances. So it's not 100% predictable.

Yes, what I said was just my observation from the spreadsheet. It's certainly not Gospelcurious bobcat wrote:theconsigliere wrote:nearly every person in the Columbia spreadsheet with >75 stats reported getting either a Butler or a Hamilton - I think I saw one person who didn't report getting one and that person wrote "Canadian" in the notes column (dunno if that matters at all but w.e)oliverotis wrote:In the same boat as above posters. Is anyone else who applied ~1/11 still waiting to go complete? The status checker email says to expect up to 2 weeks to go complete but I'm pushing 3 weeks right now and am starting to get nervous given that I was already going to be reviewed late in the cycle as it was.
