Good luck to everyone on the waitlist.
Thank you!

That being said, someone got mugged about 100 feet from my house in New Haven this evening at 6:10 PM. Like, daylight. Though I'm really hoping I get in off the waitlist, I can't say that I'll miss New Haven, really, if I end up in Cambridge.

Class of 2017 Profile
2893 applicants
255 new offers · 213 new offers accepted · 83.5% yield on new offers
245 net admits1 · 200 matriculated · 81.6% yield on net admits

51% women · 38% students of color · 24 average age · 36 states represented
24% directly from undergrad · 43% 1-2 years out · 34% 3+ years out

1In contrast to the new offers total, which provides the number of new offers made during the 2013-14 admissions cycle, the net admits total takes into account prior deferrals who are part of the incoming class and deducts new deferrals who will not be part of the incoming class.
we should be able to figure out how many people deferred from last year using these numbers, right? i'm confused though - anyone want to take a stab?

Waitlistees: how have you or will you be sending your LOCIs? Email? Snail mail? Courier (UPS, FedEx)?

I'm jealous of y'all on the waitlist who have HLS as a 'back-up'

Assuming you remain ITT b/c you are WL'ed at Y, what's your backup if Y doesn't work out?

I hope you are proud of yourself for your incredible achievement nonetheless. I wouldn't be flaunting my HLS acceptance anywhere besides the Y thread.

LSN has another person who turned down Y for S! Now we just need 50 more to do so and we'll be set, haha.

oh i should have mentioned - i've been waitlisted from all three of HYS haha. my numbers are super low so the fact that i was waitlisted at any of them was a pleasant surprise. if it doesn't work out, then penn - and i'm pretty stoked about that.

congrats on H!!

Congrats on your waitlist at HYS! I have the same average but from a different spread - accept from H, reject from S, and waitlist at Yale, haha! I can't imagine one of the three won't work out for you with a waitlist from all of them. H has a pretty good waitlist %, at the very least!

Today is the deposit deadline... Waitlist movement next week?

I note four withdrawals for S on LSN, so I'm going to hope that the % of 14 A's:4 W's is representative of the actual % so we get waitlist offers!

Quick question - when submitting a LOCI by email, should it be attached or typed into the body of the email? Thanks!

How many people are currently in the Facebook group?

Also, does anybody have any experience with the "fast-track" transfer application? Anybody familiar with how it works?
