How long did it take you to write it? It seems as if you wrote it quickly.
I got a draft done in about an hour. Then a lot of rounds of editing, but no crazy changes

Why X is so hard. Do I be honest and say employment stats? Do I grab random junk I don't care about? Only thing I can honestly sell well is respective locations.

I know you aren't asking me but mine took about 2-3 hrs and then probably went through 4-5 revisions over a few weeks.

Having trouble writing a PS. I've read some really good ones on TLS and feel pressure to make one story show who I am as a person but also flow naturally and show why I want to go to law school blah blah blah.

everything_bagel wrote: Finishing up revising mine now. It was really hard for me to put t together--I am a really inefficient writer (lol law school) and hate writing about myself--but forcing myself to write a little bit every day, thinking about how I could tell a narrative/story about pieces of my life fitting together, and getting editing help at early stages somehow got me through. Also a big thing was not letting myself go back and edit the early parts until I had written the whole thing. That's normally where I get slowed up.
The last part is key, and good advice. I find I spend so much time working on the opening paragraph that I can never get past it! Will try to hammer out a full draft this weekend.

This. I would spend literally ZERO mental energy on that until the LSAT is done. It's literally of negative value to even expend mental energy thinking about that right now, unless you are somehow channeling your reasons for wanting to go into law into motivation to take more PTs or do more drilling : )

You'll have a solid three plus weeks while your waiting for your score, which is enough time to complete literally all other components of every app you are submitting.

Yep! I imagine I'll have so much nervous waiter's energy that I'll like having somewhere to channel it.

I would probably ask for LORs before the LSAT waiting period; not sure if you were including that too

Yayyy Scotty glad everything is going well

I bet you could write something convincing along the lines of you wanting to work in the area after graduation (if that's your situation) and know that x Law School will give you the most options there, has the best connections, has the best reputation in the area, etc. I think law schools know and respect that that is a major factor in many people's decisions.

Yes, have already asked for those! But am still waiting on one of them to respond to me so I may have to go back to my college town and meet with the prof. That would be bad if I waited until like 2 weeks before scores came out...

Done.

Don't need app help, but figured I'd save your league.

So how long did it take most of you to have the academic summary report from LSAC? Both my transcripts were received last week but still no report, I really want to see how my GPA has changed cause sadly I'm expecting a drop

So I sent my first transcript in April, and it showed up within a day or two. However, I had to add a 2nd transcript (college classes in high school, dammit) in the past few weeks, and haven't had that summary report show up yet--just get an error message. I emailed LSAC and they said they're having an issue with the reports that they'll hopefully have fixed by tomorrow.
