Thanks for sparing me full retardation sunny.
Isn't St Louis like 4 hours away? Why are you buying tickets?
It's like 5, but if I'm gonna be reimbursed anyway, I'd rather fly. Driving interstates makes me sleepy; usually my SO drives

Check flight prices. They only reimburse up to $350 booking this close.

Yeah I may have to drop an extra $50 or so. At least I haven't seen any better deals.

Waitlisted today. Any word on what my chances are/if scholarships are ever available for people off the WL? I really, really love Vanderbilt, but law school at sticker is a tough sell. I'm not YP.

Well now she's all "Oh you can totally have this Thursday and Friday off!" I dunno whether to just go for it or do the April one, meaning I'd be traveling four straight weekends in a row. I kinda want to not be away from home on weekends for a solid month.

Got the black box today! Anybody know if there is a way to tell if I am going to receive a scholarship? Other than just checking the mail religiously.

I don't think so.
And be sure to send FAFSA and NeedAccess ASAP. Their priority need-based deadline was February 15th.

Thanks, luckily I sent both before receiving my acceptance. I visited last year and am hoping to attend the April program (pending I receive a decent scholly). Has anybody confirmed the previous statement about vandy not negotiating?

Yeah. It's been confirmed a few times. They're really, really great about coordinating with you about flights and making sure you have a place to stay, so the trip will most likely be free (unless you're taking time off of work.) Might as well schedule it. They're also known for giving not insignificant need-based aid.

SORRY GUYS. You'll have me in St. Louis, though. I'll throw a hotel party just for you two.

Thank you. Any idea if the need-based aid has to be applied for each year? I am guessing yes, but couldn't find the information anywhere.

With most schools, you have to do a FAFSA and Need Access every year. I'm pretty sure, anyway. But yeah, if you win the lottery, you might not get the same need-based aid next year.

Haha my biggest concern is that I will not get the same need-based aid in following years (which would make COA a lot higher at some schools). That said, I am clueless as to how Need-Aid is actually awarded...should prob look into that

This weekend is the SEC tournament. It's carnage trying to find a decently-priced hotel.
