Is there a general consensus on double depositing? I will likely be depositing in a couple places to buy myself extra time to decide and negotiate. Is there a down side to that, assuming I'll only be doing one second seat deposit (aka I'd withdraw from any other place by that time)?

For the people who emailed to attempt to negotiate scholarship, who did you send the email to? A specific person or lawfinaid@law.fordham.edu? Thanks!

New to this chain but I am applying as a transfer, any other transfer candidates out there, if so have you heard anything? I applied a few days after the application opened and still silent.
Also a question for the broader group, in my online status checker under the fees section it says "first deposit" and "full deposit" and then 0.00 near both of them but wouldn't it be strange to list those if I am not going to be admitted? Wondering if this is a good sign or if this section is on everyone's status checker.
Thanks all!

I'm waiting to hear for normal JD admission and mine says the same thing. Think it's just like that.blackjack13 wrote: Also a question for the broader group, in my online status checker under the fees section it says "first deposit" and "full deposit" and then 0.00 near both of them but wouldn't it be strange to list those if I am not going to be admitted? A truly crucial aspect of how much money they give. They would certainly feel more free to give more people $100,000 if they stipulated those students remain in the top 1/3rd.
Fordham doesn't have as big an endowment as many other schools and is in one of the most expensive areas of the country. On top of that, they give out a significant amount of need aid relative to peer schools. They were one of the last holdouts in terms of giving out a lot of merit aid. So be it, they'd rather have less superstars. From many perspectives, it makes sense (why buy a 170 when you can get two 168s for the same price?), just not from the perspective of the student who got slighted
My bad. Then I would recommend you go to the school that leaves you as debt-free as possible. Good luck to you guys.

Doesn't LSAC notify schools of which places you've submitted deposits to? I thought I read that somewhere.T20hopeful89 wrote:Is there a general consensus on double depositing? I'm pretty sure they send them a master list of people who deposit at multiple places around june so it would be more for the second deposit. The downside is the cost as most of those deposits are non refundable.vindicated32004 wrote:Doesn't LSAC notify schools of which places you've submitted deposits to? Another question - I requested a scholarship increase (through a formal letter) and was denied my request. I kind of want to re-request after the first seat deposit but do you think that would be problematic if I already was denied once? I am sure they will have more money after the first seat deposit...

Re-request. The game starts over again after each seat deposit because money is freed up and your relative value to the median becomes clearer/more urgent. Dunno what your numbers are but judging by your cycle outcomes i'm going to assume u have solid numbers for fordhamT20hopeful89 wrote:Another question - I requested a scholarship increase (through a formal letter) and was denied my request. Cuse, you're totally all over every thread. Very useful! WUSTL gave me the most, so I kind of want fordham to meet me halfway. sigh.

I know, just feels so awkward to do that once they have already turned me down previously. so annoying!cusenation wrote:nothing to do now that my cycle is over and the WUSTL thread is pretty much dead for the time being....But DEFINITELY re-request. Worst they can do is say no again

Depends what your other options are. In general, I would say probably not, but it might be the best shot compared to your other options.DaRascal wrote:Is Fordham worth sticker for NYC biglaw?

Woah. Finally went complete today (They got everything from me on 3/7). Does anyone know if that means a decision is imminent?

Can someone please relay the deposit deadline? On the waitlist here and wondering when we might see some movement.
