I got my Duke package today. I'm a sucker for their color scheme. The letter referenced an area of law that I'm interested in and the handwritten note mentioned an unusual internship I did. Oh Duke you're doing well at makin me feel like a speshul snowflake. I had to smile at their "Enjoy the Sun" blurb that compared their weather with Chicago, NYC, etc. It's 12 degrees before wind chill outside where I live soo I'm an easy sell where that's concerned.

JW, but, you got normal postal mail today? I'm just surprised.

I have my mail directed to my dad's place because I'm leaving the US soon, so the most likely scenario is that he didn't feel like braving our weather and making the long walk to the post box since the mail last came.

Nope. Checking my email and status checker like crazy. But we'll hear something by tomorrow, right? Even if it's being put on the reserve list? Have they ever just ignored the 10-day deadline?

Thanks for the words of encouragement. But still, I sent the basically the same app to every school, and my numbers dictate Duke should've been a slam dunk. So if they found something in my PS or LoR's they didn't like, every other school will find the same and I will underperform across the board.

uhhh, thanks again for the words of encouragement. But I doubt it's YP since I know people with 178/3.95 who got accepted and are WAY more likely YP candidates than me. Also, I have almost no shot at YHS with my numbers.
It's ok, I'll stay positive and congrats to those who got in today!

Edit: Whoops, meant "Duke" should have been a slam dunk in my last post. Haven't heard from Penn yet.
