I think it's 10 days, not business days. At least that's what it was for me. And scholarship is a whole separate thing-- you have to fill out a scholarship application.

Re: Duke c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Wait, where's the scholarship application?
Every other school I applied to says you're considered automatically - but I just went through Duke's app instructions, and there isn't any info at all..

EDIT: Looks like forms are submitted after being admitted? However the Mordecai is an automatic consideration, no form needed...

Happy MLK day! Who knew schools would actually send out decisions today but...
In at Duke via e-mail!!! My first decision. About a dozen more schools to go...
Sent 1/9 with PT waiver. Decision 1/16. Impressive speed.

congrats. Funny you said "impressive speed". I submitted first week of November and haven't heard a peep. Obviously they are heavily prioritizing PT appscylon_clone wrote:Happy MLK day! Who knew schools would actually send out decisions today but...

Completely agree. But again, with the exception of a few, I would be willing to bet $$ the the majority of the PT admits go elsewhere and I wish Duke would just start looking at RD applicants as well. Yeah, I personally am 99% sure I won't go to Duke but there are probably a lot of non-PT people who have it as their #1 choice and are just getting annoyed now that they have not heard back. Also they are probably getting all excited about other schools and feeling ignored by Duke. They're alienating a nice chunk of people who are potentially going to end up in the yield% denominatormsblaw89 wrote:Completely agree. Come along, duke. Let's not make this one of those soft, wait until April to say anything rejects.

Last year on LSN it looks like Duke start rolling out a mixed bag of decisions every couple of days starting on the 20th

Dear Duke,
I am approaching the 12 week mark. I understand that you are starry eyed from all of the super hott PT applicants, but please don't forget about me b/c I am probably more likely to matriculate. You should know by now if you and I are a compatible couple, so please don't leave me in the dark. I would love to make this work and start planning accordingly, but if its not meant to be that's okay too... just let me know.
P.S I have really nice triceps

Re: Duke c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Agreed, I like UVA's philosophy the best out of all the schools. Quick turnaround if you're willing to commit to ED. So you want to know in early November? No problem apply ED and you'll know and your cycle is done. If you don't mind waiting until January, apply RD. But none of this speedy crap after January which really just holds up the pool at large. I'm not going to Duke unless I were to get a serious scholly and even then it would be tough for me to give up on MIch. But I do just want a decision now. Plus they could also ding me and increase their number of rejections and I won't be mad so it's win win all around.so_fetch wrote:Yeah, I personally am 99% sure I won't go to Duke but there are probably a lot of non-PT people who have it as their #1 choice and are just getting annoyed now that they have not heard back.
