went though the last few pages, didn't see an answer, so sorry in advance if its been answered. But does anyone know approximately how long after you go under committee review that they reach a decision? TIA

Impossible to say since they only started releasing RD decisions last Friday. Most people who got decisions last week submitted in September or October and went UR in November. Last cycle, decisions came out once a week or so after the initial decisions so the time between going UR and getting a decision will be probably be shorter.

I got my acceptance call today, too! I was driving home for the Christmas break, so great timing. I really wasn't expecting to hear from them so early, so I'm feeling very excited.

Non-URM, numbers are in profile, went UR last at 12/12, I think? Oh, and I wrote an LSAT addendum (I had a 6-point jump and a pretty legitimate excuse, I'd say) and the Arts/Lit essay.

Good luck to everyone else, and congrats to the rest of y'all.

Just went under review, I'm a splitter, smelling some carnage in the next day or two.

Congrats to those that got in!

I'm wondering if I should update my transcript (my GPA dropped) but I'm already UR (12/19). Would it be terrible if I just let them evalute me without the new numbers?

Just checked and saw that I went under committee review for the second time today. Hopefully this means good news in the next few days.

Me too! I was getting a little nervous considering I went complete on 10/5. Best of luck to you and fingers crossed we both get in!

so is Penn not doing waives as much as the others? I feel like I've heard people get in less systematically than at other schools (not counting Michigan)

Everytime someone says movement I immediately think of ease or difficulty taking a shit, depending on if they say yay for movement or no movement today

Haha great, now this is all I will think about whenever anybody says anything about movement.

I would definitely not submit an update unless it is good news. UVA is on record as saying that they do not want an update on GPA if your number goes down. This is because they report to US News whatever number they have on file with your application. If Penn really wants your updated transcript, they'll ask for it directly.

Okay. What about for other schools, though? I think I have a pretty good reason for the drop, which I wouldn't mind briefly explaining in my LOCI (thought I know it won't look attractive either way). Financial circumstances forced me to graduate early which prompted me to take a large course load (6 classes) and have three jobs. GPA dropped by .03. Don't schools always want an update after you graduate?
