Got my KB1 email today! Looking forward to it!

AA male, 169, 3.92
Submitted October 4th, Complete on October 27th

So I'm guessing KB2s are over for the day. It's been quite a while since anyone reported one.

Looking at last year's data on LSN, it seems that, amongst the group of people who got early KB1s but weren't accepted on 11/22, the next most likely date for acceptance was March - presumably once they had seen most of the applicant pool. Very few seem to have been accepted before then.

We might have a long wait ahead of us, DerangedWang, whatever happens. Anyone else out there with us?

Thanks for the sentiment! But, having looked at previous years' data on LSN, it seems that the calls usually stop at a certain point in the day (before 5 pm), and seldom start again the next day (I'm guessing the only 11/23 acceptance on LSN last year was actually a 11/22 call that was entered on 11/23).

The calls do start again a week or two later, but then they call a different group of applicants - applicants with later interviews.

Question.

If you went under review 11/7 and went complete 11/17, should you be worried that you haven't received a KB1 yet? Or have people who applied this late not heard anything?

I think the latest complete date that I've seen get a KB1 in here is 11/10

Same boat as Zelda, wondering the same thing. 11/10 complete is awfully close to 11/17.

I know you probably did, but did you both scan your junk mail folder? I found the email from Harvard their for my KB1....I almost missed it too because I was being half-hearted about checking.

Is it reasonable to think that those of us who got the 'complete' email on/before 11/10 but did not receive a KB1 invite today are out of luck, given that others who went complete 11/10 did receive the invite?

No, it is not reasonable. It could be done over a few days. There were only 2 so...I would hold out hope.

Also, for the KB2s today, there was a thread started last year for people who got in, but before they committed and joined the Harvard Class of 2014 thread. The "in" thread in HP's OP. I think they just discussed dates and ASW, as well as debated the merits of different offers, fin aid stuff, etc. etc.. Any interest in having one again this year, so as not to stumble over the people that are here wanting to keep up on admissions developments and don't want to be annoyed by irrelevant page jumps?

LOL. I usually prefer Scotch, but I would be happy to give Jack a try.

I just did some more thorough research on LSN, and last cycle I could only find two people who got early JR1s but weren't accepted on 11/22. It turns out that most of the people I had seen who applied early but got accepted in March actually had latter JR1s, after first being held.

Anyway, here are the two. One was accepted in March, one was waitlisted and (eventually) withdrew:

This is a problem for me because my wife has to look for work wherever I go to law school, and March might be too late to start.

Is there anyone else out there with a KB1 but no KB2? I would start a thread, but with only TheDerangedWang and me it might be a little lonely.

I would certainly utilize a new thread. I know theres one for people attending in the class of 2015 but I don't want to clutter either thread with those of us trying to make decisions in between

Just checked my status checker mailings; the KB1 appears as "Email - Interview Scheduled" and the KB2 appears as "Admissions Binder Sent."

Hello and congrats! Feel free to start an "In at Harvard" thread in the Law School Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists section for discussing decisions and such. Last years was pretty interesting and we had some good discussions.
