I definetly feel this way sometimes but then i remember that these schools generally have 8000+ applications that they have to go through and I can only imagine how terribly boring it is to read personal statements over and over again. I dont think you can pay me enough to be an adcom

I feel like I'd be giddy with power for the first day and after that I'd be super over it. I try to calm myself down by reminding myself that there are so many applications to go through and every single person has to get his/her time, but I can't say that thought really works. It's a bit akin to being upset and saying, "Well, you shouldn't be. There are starving kids in Africa." Great. What does that do for me now?

i have tried to read through ps on tls and have yet to make it through one (im sure mine is equally boring). being an adcomm must succccccck.
