After Michigan's impressive packet, Cornell's seemed incredibly lackluster...

Yeah, I know. Other schools leave personalized notes, or at least have an impressive brochure and a copy of their law school magazine. Cornell gives you some form letters and a general Cornell magazine (not specific to the LS, and it has ads in it, lol). Seriously guys, try to sell yourselves a bit.

Yeah, I know. Other schools leave personalized notes, or at least have an impressive brochure and a copy of their law school magazine. Cornell gives you some form letters and a general Cornell magazine (not specific to the LS, and it has ads in it, lol). Seriously guys, try to sell yourselves a bit.

That is surprising, because even McGeorge (Which is just barely holding onto the bottom of T2 at 98th) sent me about 3 pounds of paper including a hand-written, personalized (bringing in my PS and work exp) note from the asst. dean of admissions and just super nice presentation all around, including that pricy, chic transparent-watermarked paper.

If a school like Cornell sent me a flyer for their acceptance mailer, I'd be pissed. Especially with their price-tag...

is that only your 2nd UR date? if so, I would say a decision is imminent (but not until early next week). it seems like most people who had 2 UR dates got their decision a few days after the second UR

No. So basically they will review our files again after 2/1. I assume that means after they've admitted, denied, and WL everyone else, they will review us again. Kind of like if we submitted on Feb 1.

hmm I wish that would be true.. but I think we are just reviewed with everyone else, with a little sticker or some kind of note saying that the application was deferred from ED.

I looked at LSN from last year's cycle, and see a lot of people who submitted prior to the ED deadline (and assuming Cornell had the non-binding ED last year, they probably went ED too) and were eventually accepted around April or so.

Anyone have any insights here?
