Congrats! I'd call them tomorrow about the Admitted Student Reception.

Are you set on STCL or still deciding?

Deciding, still waiting to hear back from a few schools. I'd love to be in Houston close to friends/family, buttt I don't think I'll get into UH.

I'll be commuting from the Cy-Fair area too... well, Tomball, which sucks so much worse. I found a park and ride route on 290 that drops off/picks up only 5 blocks or so from the school. And, as a student, we get half off all fares. It would seriously save on gas and nerves, as the traffic in Houston is maddening.

UH hasn't even looked at my app... I'll probably get dinged, but if I don't, there's no way they'd give me any money, so... :\

If I get into STCL or UH, I will be commuting from Katy. I work in the Memorial Villages, so I will be leaving from there for class in the evening, but it will be a long drive home after class. I am not sure I will be able to handle that for the duration of law school.

Yeah, that park and ride thing is about two exits past where we'll most likely be living, and it will be a lifesaver. Although if we both wind up going to STCL, maybe we could work out a carpool thing if we don't wanna do park and ride occasionally.

Is rice village a really expensive area to live in? And how far is it from STCL?

It is pretty expensive - you may be able to find a rent house in the area that may be doable.

It is probably about 10-15 to STCL with no traffic.

Would it be a bad idea to ask for admission to the part-time program if I am not accepted to the full-time program?

^ haha

Well...would you have a roommate or no? I would say a rent house in that area, maybe a duplex could run around $1300-$1800 and up. If you have/can find a roommate thats not a bad deal =)

You can search har.com for leases in that area.

Bahahaha! Props on that!

And ya I would totally ask if you can get into the part-time program because they have less strict guidelines for accepting.

No movement today. I almost wish I didn't have internet at work so I wouldn't be capable of checking it like a mad woman!

Seriously. I had to make a rule that I wouldn't check it until there were 30 minutes or less left in the day. If I get rejected it's not going to be pretty.
