Got the "Preferred Preferred" Waitlist email today - it says they'll let you know by late March. I know some people are saying this is YP, but my numbers (3.34/170/6 years WE) don't exactly scream YP. I think this is just for balance purposes - candidates they like but have some kind of reservation about.

Similar numbers/softs. In our cases, at least, I think it's GULC being all "holistic," not YP. I'll take it.

Randomly checked my application status and found a new decision date, 3/15/2010. I also had a new very recent UR date.

What did it say before this change today?

I am in the group, but mine did not change...still says DR on the date (2/25) I got put in that group...

I was put in the special group within the WL last month, now it says Decision Rendered 3/15. At what point do we start trying to access the Admitted Student's site again lol

Edit: I sort sent a LOCI, basically an email saying that I love Georgetown and want to continue being considered.

Just saw the new activity so I checked mine as well. New UR date of March 9th (LOCI sent 2/20) and a new DR date of 3/15. Anyone find out anything concrete yet?

Interesting. But at the very least they appear to be re-reviewing some of the WLers as of 3/9.

Yea, I didn't ask if the 3/9 thing is a glitch, I hope it's true. I was promised they would tell me something by march 22nd but I don't tihnk the WL people can expect to hear a decision, myself included, until April 1st when the seat deposits come in. That's what I heard from admissions when I visited. I hope im wrong.

I think they'll let some people in by March 22. Why would they tell us we will know something by then for no reason? The deposit date may be April 1 but people still withdraw. Plus if they have space it is to their advantage to accept people rite before then because they are forced to pay the deposit within a week and Georgetown will quickly find out if they actually wanted to go. There needs to be a reason for the special preferred wait list. If not they would just put us all on the regular preferred.

well now, since I did not get a change today, glitch or not, I no longer feel "special" about my "special group preferred" status. bummer.

I did on the day that I first went on the PWL. I got the email 2/25 and my status shows DR that same day.

But no change with this new batch.
