No one accepted from the 1/12 crowd yet looks like bad news bears for me.
has anyone even gotten their DM 1-12 letters yet? i'm expecting mine tomorrow in charlotte.

Re: Maryland 2010
Going off-topic a little (although congrats to everyone who's in and good luck to those still waiting), I was wondering if anyone had a firm grasp on the money situation at MD. I know there is a leadership/leader scholarship that seems to be of an undefined amount and adheres to no strict criteria for awarding that seems to be awarded right around the deadline time for the first seat deposit. Also, when I called the office this morning, I was told they have NO "scholarship" money to give out (despite that I know they have the Leader Scholaship), but that grant money is different. I am so confused as to how this plays out. If they were to throw me any money I would sign up now, but I am just wondering when/how/if I need to be proactive and beg, or wait, or what. Any light that can be shed on their specific process would be MUCH appreciated

Question:
I applied on 12/4 with good stats and haven't heard back yet. I found a grammatical error in my personal statement and I sent in an addendum and now regret my cheesy conclusion...Is it worth calling and asking to replace if the review board hasn't yet seen my file?

Re: Maryland 2010
I called the admissions committee two days ago (went DM on 1/14), and they said that decisions are sent out once a week on Fridays. So, since it's a holiday weekend, if we havent heard by today (Saturday), we will probably hear next Tuesday, since there is no mail delivery on (monday)..I could be wrong though if mail is delivered on monday. good luck to all. wish you the best. I was under review since early december. Hope it means good news?? in previous years (according to LSN), a large number of acceptances were sent out, HOWEVER some rejections were sent as well (although majority was acceptances). I really want to go to Maryland, so please wish me luck as well

Acceptance received yesterday, DR 1/15. Quick turnaround, no scholarship money. Good luck to the rest!

I also heard from a friend who called the admissions office that MD would be giving no scholarship money this year, don't know what's going on either because I had been told when I contacted them last year that they gave out merit scholarships with no applicationjdhopeful23 wrote:Going off-topic a little (although congrats to everyone who's in and good luck to those still waiting), I was wondering if anyone had a firm grasp on the money situation at MD. Really weird considering when I checked my status last week it said "incomplete"
I am in state, but if it is true there is not going to be any scholly money I will be withdrawing as well.
Any definite answer on this?

Already am in at W&L and W&M with $$, so if there is going to be no money from Maryland I will withdraw and give my spot to someone else. Hopefully we can get some sort of a confirmation on this.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
