Re: Catholic U 2010
Decision mailed yesterday. Still waiting on an acceptance email, hopefully. Any chance that we won't get an email from them today due to the amount of snow that we've gotten in the area? I need to call and see if their office is open today.

Re: Catholic U 2010
Has anyone gotten an email this week?
I'm sure everyone has read their FAQs, but just for some potential peace of mind:
"Decision notification may come via email under certain circumstances, but an official decision letter is always signed, and sent via mail to the address you provided"

These circumstances all depends if you got accepted or not. Accepted comes via email a day later after having your status checker updated to "decision sent". If you didn't receive an email after your status checker becomes "decision sent" most likely you got rejected.waitingaway wrote:Has anyone gotten an email this week?

Re: Catholic U 2010
I was waitlisted but I really want to attend Catholic. I can't afford to waste another year sitting around doing nothing, being underemployed. I have a graduate degree, but work in retail. I really want to write a LOCI, but I can't write about improved grades or anything similar as I'm out of school. So what can I write about in my LOCI?! I'd appreciate any advice! I was accepted at Hofstra, but I'd really rather not attend if I can get into Catholic, but Hofstra requires its first seat deposit by April. And considering it's really difficult to get off a waitlist before August, I'd say I'm screwed, right?

Although not the ideal situation, you could always pay your seat deposit and remain on the waitlist.Lighthouse28 wrote:I was waitlisted but I really want to attend Catholic. Decision Mailed, 2/15. Being that I live in Fairfax, VA (11 miles outside of DC), I'm hoping I get it tomorrow.
If I'm not mistaken, Catholic doesn't send out acceptance e-mails, right?

I got an email saying my acceptance/denial notification has been mailed. I'm Fairfax also. Not sure if it matters, but I applied solely to the part-time program.PitchO20 wrote:Decision Mailed, 2/15. Being that I live in Fairfax, VA (11 miles outside of DC), I'm hoping I get it tomorrow.
