Congrats to all admits today. So refreshing to be able to talk to a dean of admissions in such an informal setting, and get direct answers regarding our applications/decisions.

+1, this offers a modicum of relaxation compared to many other schools.

If I applied ED to Illinois, but did not receive either an admit and deny and was rolled over to RD, will I still receive a decision in the batch according to my complete date or since I applied ED and was put in RD, will I be put at the end of the application line.

Thanks.

How long did it take you all to go from Under Review to a decision? I just went UR today, complete since 9/29

I will look at all of the ED applicants that were deferred in late January. At that point I will have a much better picture of our applicant pool and will be able to make a more definite decision.

In via email. First acceptance.

I've been really impressed by the way Dean Pless and all of the staff at Illinois have acted throughout the beginning of this process. Honestly, I hadn't planned on applying to Illinois, but now my view of the school has changed greatly based on their promptness and transparency.

Good luck to everyone waiting.

Well I thought I had a shot, 3.65/163 (not a URM, but I am blind). Guess I'll put my eggs in other baskets....too bad to because Illinois was a top choice for me!

Placed on hold. This seems interesting. I applied really early so I'm not surprised to be in the earlier batches of decisions, but I've never heard of being placed on hold.

Dean Pless,

When schools report LSAT and GPA data of incoming classes to the ABA (or is it LSAC), do they report the LSDAS GPA or the GPA of the degree granting institution?

Thank you.

In at Illinois. No mention of scholarship, last years 165s got some money.

Man, I went complete yesterday. It'll be August before I hear anything. Illinois is top-notch, however, and if its good news, i'll wait until august. Congrats everyone thus far!

They are required to report LSDAS.

Edit: I know this because I asked last year. My degree GPA is MUCH HIGHER than my LSAC and I was thinking if UG GPA is what mattered, then I would be competitive at HYS.

Great. I really should sue the doctors at university health services who misdiagnosed me for a period of 6 months, resulting in one semester of epic fail. They probably cost me a few thousand in scholarship money and $20k in avoidable medical costs (insurer bit the bullet on this one :D ).

I applied last night. In-state, 164, 3.66, URM. If accepted, there's a good chance I'll attend.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
