Re: UCLA?
They can't personally call every candidate that they decide to accept can they?
I understand those who got accepted thus far, has amazing stats and softs.
Will the ED applicants be getting calls, or would that just be snail mail letters?

I think last cycle some people said ED received phone calls however I'm sure waitlist and rejection is snail mail.finalaspects wrote:They can't personally call every candidate that they decide to accept can they?

Re: UCLA?
Anyone know if you can personally hand in the ED agreement. Or must it be mailed?

Re: UCLA?
no one responded before, so I think no one knows. If you are close enough to the office to hand it in, wouldn't it just be faster to go ask the office.savesthedayajb wrote:Anyone know if you can personally hand in the ED agreement. Or must it be mailed?

Yeah actually I have yet to talk to anyone in the UCLA admissions office. Maybe they figured the $90K they gave me would speak for itself...CyLaw wrote:crackberry was via snail mail, no call.finalaspects wrote:So everyone accepted gets a call? Key word being everyone?jgulia45 wrote:

I never understand this that it is ok for them to offer you large sums of money to attend their school, but it is frowned on for you to offer them large sums of money to be accepted.crackberry wrote: Yeah actually I have yet to talk to anyone in the UCLA admissions office. I sure hope not. That's horrifically stupid. The people they offer $90k to usually end up somewhere else. You'd think they'd attempt a full court press. Or a press? Or they saw your profile and decided not to bother?crackberry wrote:Yeah actually I have yet to talk to anyone in the UCLA admissions office. Re: UCLA?
Haha who knows? The thing is I'd really love to stay in California, and if I don't get into HYSCCNB, $90K at UCLA will start to look really, really appealing, especially if I get nothing (or close to nothing) from Michigan/Duke/Georgetown (or UVA/Northwestern/Cornell). So the truth is, it would behoove them to at least recognize the fact that they've admitted me and (apparently) want me to attend badly enough that they're willing to offer me close to a full tuition scholarship.rondemarino wrote:I sure hope not. Ditto. I actually may have submitted earlier than that... Ugh.hopefulundergrad wrote:So should I assume I am WL/reject. I submitted 10/30 and have received nothing.

Hopefully they're going through the apps haphazardly. It took something like two weeks just to get my complete e-mail (even though it had all been complete when I submitted my app).jayausi wrote:I hope not. Same here. Didn't get a complete email until 10/15. Decisions might take until February, it said. Just going to hang tight.summerschooled wrote:Hopefully they're going through the apps haphazardly.
