In my situation I have to find a job as a patent agent/technical specialist for a law firm while I'm going to law school, I gots to bring home the bacon. Really wanted to go full time but I just couldn't find a way to swing the debt. And really, I've just finished my PhD and that took 5 years, so what's 4 more right?I was complete 10/28 then 12/21, 161/3.2 - I applied for their PT program.

Puh-lease...I would be breaking out a cocktail, wait a margarita, right this very second. But, if you're like me, you're at work, so it's simply not a very good idea.thwalls wrote:Dude, I have Yuengling in fridge, really considering breaking it out, but I don't think it'll mix with my coffee...Baileys or amaretto anyone?bklyngreenlp wrote:Congratulations folks! Yuengling is great. I <3 temple but i do not <3 the difficulties of buying beer in PA. This is a definite (small) minus for them.

Re: Temple 2010!
Congrats to those admitted today!
bklyngreenlp, I haven't received my letter yet. But I'm on the other side of the state, so I didn't expect to yet.
Regarding scholarship money: The in-state tuition is awfully generous, so does anyone know if they give a lot of scholly money to in-staters or if it's mostly reserved for the folks paying oos? I really like Philly, but Pitt is currently cheaper and has a few more things going for it. (though $$$ > those few more things)
PS: Almost always being able to find Yuengling on draught is one of the things I love about PA. But what's with Philly's affinity for PBR?

Can't answer your question about PBR. I don't know anyone here who drinks it.

I was in Philly twice this summer and PBR was the drink special at a lot of the bars we went to. I did have a delicious little carousel of microbrews at that one place that is supposedly the oldest tavern in America.

Well, Philly is a blue collar town so the PBR specials make sense. Super cheap and will get you drunk.badwithpseudonyms wrote:Good to know. Thanks!SpaceDawg wrote:My friend is a 3L at Temple now and she received a half scholarship as an in-stater.

As an FYI, when I was accepted via status checker, I didn't receive the email until the next day.

Re: Temple 2010!
I just got home and in my mailbox this evening was a large envelope from Temple. It includes a folder with a number of forms and the acceptance letter.
I also received an additional letter offering me a Law Faculty Scholarship totaling $15,000 over three years. To retain the scholarship, I have to be in the top half of the class each year. That's a rather sweet deal, considering in-state tuition is ~$16,500 each year.
