The pre-2010 batch will be VERY small, if previous years are any indication. Most decisions won't come out until January or later.

If they can raise their LSAT range to 170-176 (which I am absolutely confident they can do if they were as #s focused as Columbia or Harvard), I could see them overtaking Harvard.
+1. The distinct difference in their current LSAT ranges is surely enough to keep them at #3 unless they make an effort to raise it, which is unlikely unless they change their admissions philosophy.
The reason Stanford stays ahead of schools like Columbia with higher LSAT ranges is that its peer ratings are consistently spectacular. Those are enough to keep it in the Top 3 regardless of what they do with the LSAT range.
Agreed. I really hope they don't just focus on numbers for the sake of ratings. They'd compromise the quality of the their small entering class to a certain extent. I like the SLS mix as is! They're ahead because they're good... not because they only take people with 99th percentile and above.

So I got an e-mail this morning stating my app was under review. I just submitted last week, so that was unexpected, but certainly appreciated.

Luckily crackberry and I are Stanford auto-admits. It was hard work overthrowing Sudanese dictators, sweeping the countryside for dangerous landmines, practicing for the LSAT by diagramming logic games with sticks in the desert sand, and running a refugee camp that at capacity held thirty-two thousand; but together we were able to do it.
I framed Roger Rabbit...
That's not even partially believable.

Dear Santa,
All I want for Christmas is a Stanford admission. I've been very good this year and will continue to be good for the rest of eternity if I just get this one little thing. Please??

Harvard's great, but it's so very big and cold and coal like! Stanford would be small and warm, like fresh Christmas cookies.

See what you've done JR? You've admitted people who don't even appreciate you. While there are those of us who would remain faithful.
Lol, although you've got a point. A Stanford acceptance would be <3 x 1000000.

Here's the thread from last year:
http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 2#p1063156
Key points:
- Wednesday, Dec 17th, was the first acceptance
- Area code "650"
- International applicants received emails, not phone calls.
- Very small wave (only 4 in that thread); took almost a month for the second wave to come

At least that sculpture isn't drunk.

I'm not so sure. If a sculpture could become intoxicated, it would look like that thing outside of CLS.
