yeah, same dates for me. pretty impersonal email, sounds like a computer generated auto-reply, with a 2 month delay.

those of you saying you're under review... where did you get your status checker login? I submitted in early October and heard nothing until the complete email on 11/3. Am I missing an email or something?

no status checker for me, but my complete e-mail (1 month in the making) said i was complete and under review.

ohh ok. my complete email said that as well... i was just hoping for something a little more comprehensive from NYU (that i could check compulsively every two hours)

Has anyone who applied a long time ago (September) not received a complete email from NYU? I applied on 9/4 and got an "application received" email that said they would let me know when I was complete, but I've yet to get a complete email...

I applied 9/4 and got the recieved email but have yet to be complete

Yes. Applied September 27, I believe. ED. I didn't even receive an "application received" e-mail. However, I e-mailed the Admissions Office, and they said I'm complete.... I think they're just incredibly inconsistent.

I just got the complete email a couple of days ago, and I applied about two months ago.

So NYU specifically says not to call inquiring about the status of your app but it seems like some of you did. Was the admissions receptionist annoyed or anything? It's been 2 weeks since I submitted and a week and a half since I got the received email.

I really wouldn't call. Every admissions office staff member and dean tells you not to call. If it is January and you never got a complete email, consider it. Otherwise, I wouldn't. NYU is notorious for not sending those emails out, and many people have been waiting far longer than 2 1/2 weeks (more like 2 1/2 months).

I submitted 9/1 and it was dead silent from them until earlier this week when I got a complete email. I never called, just waited it out. I don't think it's any cause to worry at this point.
