yeah, same dates for me. pretty impersonal email, sounds like a computer generated auto-reply, with a 2 month delay.Kretzy wrote:Applied 9/3, got the complete email 11/3. those of you saying you're under review... where did you get your status checker login? I submitted in early October and heard nothing until the complete email on 11/3. Am I missing an email or something?

Has anyone who applied a long time ago (September) not received a complete email from NYU? I applied on 9/4 and got an "application received" email that said they would let me know when I was complete, but I've yet to get a complete email...

Yes. Applied September 27, I believe. ED. I didn't even receive an "application received" e-mail. However, I e-mailed the Admissions Office, and they said I'm complete.... I think they're just incredibly inconsistent.crackberry wrote:Has anyone who applied a long time ago (September) not received a complete email from NYU? Submitted over the weekend. I don't really stand a chance, but I'm holding out hope anyway.

So NYU specifically says not to call inquiring about the status of your app but it seems like some of you did. Was the admissions receptionist annoyed or anything? It's been 2 weeks since I submitted and a week and a half since I got the received email.

Re: NYU 2010
I really wouldn't call. Every admissions office staff member and dean tells you not to call. If it is January and you never got a complete email, consider it. Otherwise, I wouldn't. NYU is notorious for not sending those emails out, and many people have been waiting far longer than 2 1/2 weeks (more like 2 1/2 months).

Thanks, I won't call. NYU is my best shot at CCN RD so I don't want to go pissing people off.

I submitted 9/1 and it was dead silent from them until earlier this week when I got a complete email. I never called, just waited it out. I don't think it's any cause to worry at this point.crackberry wrote:Yeah dude I submitted on 9/4 and haven't heard from them.hopefulundergrad wrote:So NYU specifically says not to call inquiring about the status of your app but it seems like some of you did. It says you can contact them in the FAQ:

"When calling the Office of Admissions for the status of your application, please be sure that you have allowed enough time for materials to arrive and be processed."

I got a "you didn't tell us if you want to ED or not" email (I don't).
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
