Being the neurotic person I am, looked at last year's thread and it looks like most of the ppl invited to interview in the first round (Nov. 1) applied September or earlier.
If anyone would like to see the timing of the second interview invite rounds, I'd be forever grateful

I don't remember how far apart it was, but the first round of interview invites went out Nov 1 last year

Did everyone admitted get an invite?
As far as I remember, I do believe that you need to be interviewed to be admitted, but if anyone knows otherwise, feel free to correct me

Does anyone know how Chicago feels about splitters? I'm just below the 25% for GPA (3.61 in Electrical Engineering) and at the 75% with a 172.

They aren't huge fans of splitters. Chicago loves high GPA's
Challenge accepted.

Is anyone still holding out for a fee waiver? I'm above 75th for GPA and at 75th for LSAT. How late can I afford to wait without damaging my chances? Should I just submit now?

The answer is you'll get into and go to Columbia.

I honestly wouldn't mind that. But knowing that I want to work in Houston makes me think UTA wouldn't be a bad deal with a scholarship. But I'm strongly considering Columbia.

Ok, this is being nit picky but UTA stands for University of Texas- Arlington. It’s always just UT or UT Austin. Also at their law school forum I noticed that they have branded themselves as Texas Law. I thought this was kind of odd.

Haha, I appreciate the correction! I usually go with UT but was recently misunderstood for Utah...I guess I'll go with UT Austin until Texas Law starts to stick, if it ever does.

Probably out at Chicago for reasons mentioned. Probably in, but no money at Columbia. In but unsure money at UT because you're below GPA median. Probably full ride at UTA.

Does anyone know how UChicago LS looks at their own GPA. UChicago is pretty notorious for grade deflation so I’m wondering how an applicant from their school would fair in the application process.

You might get the slighest of boosts, but might be better to atleast try to ED as a Chicago Law Scholar. $150k guaranteed is nothing to sneeze at, especially if your GPA is on the lower side
Take this with a grain of sale but I've seen several posts online from angry Chicago undergrads that got rejected by the Law School because of (relatively) low GPA

Do you guys think a PS that's good enough to get a certain applicant to a lower T13 (above both 75s) is good enough to send to CCN (at or above both medians)? I've been holding off on HYSCCN apps so I can improve my PS but the clock is obviously ticking.

I think you should be good. As long as it is coherent and mildly interesting, it shouldn't keep you out of a school that you are otherwise qualified for.
