In at ASU 164/3.33, how does scholarship info come in?

I haven't. I am waiting to hear back from one more school. But, I am not sure I really even want to go to ASU at this point, their original offer kind of offended me haha. Does anyone else feel like their offer was lower than expected?

I negotiated a pretty substantial increase in my offer from ASU. I'm keeping the specific numbers private per ASU's request, but I will say that I used offers from GW and Alabama. PM if anyone wants more info.

in at ASU on 2/17. My scholarship info came with the admission materials on 2/22 via email. I live in China so they scanned everything for me for an early review. I am still waiting to hear from other schools but ASU is definitely at the top of the list cuz they offered me a generous amount of scholarship.

btw, I sent my application in Dec and it took almost 2 months for the decision to come out. So chill out if you are still waiting =)

I have decided to attend ASU. Does anyone have any input on where most of the law students live now, since the law school relocated to downtown? I assume some of the older students still live in Tempe, is that still the case for everyone?

Current 2L. Feel free to ask any questions, and Congrats! A good chunk of the population moved downtown. There's a few apartment buildings that are close by that are affordable. Some students (like myself) found better bang for our buck in Tempe. It really depends on what you're after. Personally I don't find the parking garage that bad though. Its about a 10 minute walk from the school. At 4th and Filmore if you want to look up the distance.

Thanks for your input! What is your opinion on living in Old Town Scottsdale and going to school downtown? It is bit farther than Tempe obviously, but for financial reasons may be more feasible for me.

I mean, its do-able. You're going to be spending a fair amount of time on the road, but I've got at least 2 friends I know of who make that commute, and some people certainly come from farther. I'd say to avoid it absent special circumstances, but if you've got some hookup that makes it more financially feasible then its certainly worth considering.

I received an email this morning informing me that a personal ASU webpage had been created for me. I have not heard back from ASU yet. Is the personal webpage at all significant? I figured I wouldn't be dinged because of this but I am not sure.

There is a formal process. Email the admissions office and they'll send you the link to the online form for negotiations. They're definitely open to negotiating.

I haven't. My letter said the schoolarship information was confidential and I didn't want to risk losing the money.

Just got accepted yesterday, but had applied in February and told them to hold it for my feb LSAT. Had a personal page email sent 2/9, which would mean they had been considering me before my app was even complete. So unfortunately I don't think these are connected :/

Yep, that's it. I got a great scholarship from them and absolutely loved my visit. Plus, I want to practice in California.

Just a heads up. ASU does not grant deposit deadline extensions. I confirmed with the admissions office this morning.
