You might get the scholarship later in an acceptance box! In November, I had gotten an acceptance email then the box a few weeks later (maybe 2 weeks, I don't remember).Houzy wrote:Did you get scholarship information included in your email? I also was accepted via email today but no scholarship information. Not to sound entitled but I would be a bit upset if I was given nothing. My LSAT is >75th and GPA between 50th and 75th.onecallthats all wrote:Just got the email! I am in! Yes the scholarship offer was with the acceptance email. My LSAT and GPA are both at their 75th percentile as well. Best of luck man!Houzy wrote:How did it go for you? I have narrowed down my choice between two schools, UF being one of them.stratton_oakmont wrote:You might get the scholarship later in an acceptance box! Hi
I'm also wondering about this. Was admitted last week with 90% scholarship, but interested to know if anyone has been successful in negotiating any higher than what they had initially been offered. 100% would be amazing.lonola wrote:Anyone who tried to negotiate scholarship offer up heard back? Maybe it's just me me but I didn't even get an acknowledgment after I sent a letter to them weeks ago.

my impression based is basically every admissions office is open on weekends at this time of yearWamBamThankYouMaam wrote:Is the UF admissions office open on the weekend? My application went complete yesterday (Saturday) and under review today (Sunday).
I am in the same boat and I went to visit UF last week. The girl who gave me a tour said she was on the "no decision made" status until April. It is somewhere between being on the waitlist and under review. The difference is with no decision made, they are still reviewing your file and comparing it to other apps. On the waitlist, they won't look at your file again until they know how many more seats they have left over to give out.Lasow wrote:I have been "review complete- no decision made" for over a month. I know they are waiting to see how my app compares to others. Am I just being impatient or is the fact I've been waiting this long effectively a waitlist?

It's not really comparable to being on the waitlist. I applied in october and was "no decision made" until December and got 90% scholly.Lasow wrote:I have been "review complete- no decision made" for over a month. I applied in early december and was at "no decision made" for 4-5 weeks and then got accepted with 70% scholarship so not necessarily the waitlist. Just how they're doing it this year.Lasow wrote:I have been "review complete- no decision made" for over a month. I know they are waiting to see how my app compares to others. I'd like to hear about people successfully negotiating with UF because I'd consider going at full (I like Florida, wouldn't mind working there, and have relatives in Gainesville), but I just wonder if it it looks silly to try to nickle-and-dime them.
That's reasonable. I guess there's no reason not to take a stab at it.TLSclique wrote:DriveLikeNashvillian wrote:It's not really comparable to being on the waitlist. If your initial offer was 90% you have a shot a negotiating depending on your numbers and other offers. They can be convinced if you emphasize your ties/love of UF and Florida. If it looks silly it's because you're framing the negotiation in a silly way.

Negotiate that. They'll bump you to over 50% if your stats are right.Houzy wrote:Received my acceptance package in the mail today. Based on other replies in this thread it doesn't look like I'm getting a scholarship offer which is really disappointing because I'm above their 75th LSAT and between 50th and 75th for GPA, and UF was tied for my top choice
If you look in last years thread Grant Keener (from UF) was posting during the cycle. Someone posted what he told them “Yes, we offer scholarships at the same time as admission. Students who are not offered an award may, of course, email a request for further consideration. It is especially helpful for us to receive information about offers received from our peer schools. To be clear, not everyone who requests a revision gets one, but there is absolutely no harm in asking!Houzy wrote:Received my acceptance package in the mail today.
