Yeah, still waiting. Pretty frustrating process.

Congrats! Still nothing and I applied EA. Hopefully the rest of us will hear sometime next week.PeterGibbons90 wrote:Just got my acceptance e-mail. They really took that down to the wire considering I'm an EA applicant. Hopefully all the other EA applicants hear soon too.

I did mine in April, I believe. If there isn't any information on the admitted students page, just call/email the admissions office.lawlawlaw22 wrote:Anyone know when asw is?
Will do, thanks! Also, does scholarship info come in the official mail (snail mail), or in an email? How long after acceptance did you get an offer?hbaker712 wrote:I did mine in April, I believe. If any of you have questions about OSU, I'd be happy to answer whatever I can.
I received my offer via email about a month after acceptance. That said, I'm not 100% sure how the timing works throughout the whole cycle. One great thing about OSU is that their staff will help you through everything. If you have any financial aid questions, including when offers can be expected, just reach out to Marc Nawrocki. His contact info can be found here: http://moritzlaw.osu.edu/admissions/jd/ ... ons-staff/lawlawlaw22 wrote:Will do, thanks! It does. Thanks! Another question. I have done my research at a basic level, but how is the private law situation in Columbus/Ohio. It seems like there are a lot more opportunities than I had first expected.hbaker712 wrote:I received my offer via email about a month after acceptance. Hope that helps.
Employment all around seems to be getting better in Columbus. BigLaw opportunities are obviously still going to be relegated to the top ranked students (top 15%-ish), but we have a fairly robust legal market here in regards to the midsize and smaller firms. Anecdotally, most people I know have the job type they were looking for.lawlawlaw22 wrote:It does. Thanks! Another question. Seems like you know your stuff so i figured id ask you. How does OSU match up nationally as far as job prospects? I know its a broad question but work with me.hbaker712 wrote:Employment all around seems to be getting better in Columbus. Congrats! When did you apply? I applied in September and it's been crickets since then.TxEx13 wrote:In today via email!
Thanks! Applied 12/14 Early Admission. Despite the EA deadline having passed, they noted that I was admitted through that in the email i got. I should also note that I saw absolutely zero movement on the status checker since going "Complete - File awaiting review" on 12/14. Hope you get good news soon!fliptrip wrote:Congrats! It's gonna be a while. I applied a month before you and I guarantee I'm not even at the front of the line...MacDhubstep wrote:OSU still hasn't gotten back to me, applied 12/3.
Ugh so annoying. I think I looked it up and I should (Based on their timeline) be hearing back soon. I don't plan on going there anyway, just wanna have all my offers in before I seat deposit elsewhere.Billy Madison wrote:It's gonna be a while. Do you mean in terms of national placement or just in terms of total employment stats? Either way, my best suggestion is to check out LST and NALP reports. OSU is traditionally a regional school, placing a significant percentage of grads in Ohio. That said, we do have placement in the large markets as well.thedon92 wrote:Seems like you know your stuff so i figured id ask you. How does OSU match up nationally as far as job prospects? In the respect of employment, what's your opinion for OSU vs. Iowa?hbaker712 wrote:I did mine in April, I believe. If there isn't any information on the admitted students page, just call/email the admissions office.lawlawlaw22 wrote:Anyone know when asw is?

I think they're both strong regional schools, so employment outlook will likely be dependent on where you intend to practice. The schools are comparable in the big markets, excluding IL where Iowa places a lot of grads.yenisey wrote:In the respect of employment, what's your opinion for OSU vs. Iowa?hbaker712 wrote:I did mine in April, I believe.
