I was just skimming last year's thread and saw something about applicants doing interviews last year. Has anyone been asked to do an interview yet?

So I'm guessing that the why NDLS essay isn't truly optional. Even if you're in the 75%, should I still write it? Does anyone have any insight on here; I don't know what I would say that I didn't say in my PS

Well if you don't wish to get YPed, I would recommend doing it. I would also make your personal statement in this case solely about you and your personal ambitions (since there is a two page limit) and then just write why ND suits you/what programs or qualities that appeal to you in the 'Why ND?' one. I honestly think it is worth it and doesn't take too much extra effort... but then again I saw people who did not write a 'Why ND?' with stats above the 75ths get accepted with scholarships in the previous threads too. But in my opinion, better safe than sorry, I suppose. :)

I wonder who answered yes to the deposit question...and if they're just trolling.

The admissions officer I met with when I visited was emphatic that they want to see applicants write it. My Why NDLS barely overlaps with my personal statement because in the Why NDLS, I'm focusing on a couple of specific programs NDLS offers, where I want to practice after I graduate and how that aligns with their employment outcomes, etc. I'm not Catholic, but if I were, I'd probably include something about that as well. It only overlaps with my PS in that I discuss what field I'd like to work in eventually in both statements.

I had an easier time writing the Why NDLS after I visited the school. I don't know if it's feasible or not for you to do that, but if it is high on your list, I would recommend it if you can.

Current ND student. They r probably trolling. Last year the status indicator gave me deposit $$$ but this year could be different, no one knows, I wouldn't worry to much about any of it. Also, if anyone has questions feel free to post em.
Regarding the "why NDLS" essay. I think it would be a mistake to not write it, even if over both 75ths. It think it took me maybe an hour to write, and I think it weighs heavier on peoples applications more than one would think.

At my visit, they told my group that scholarship decisions wouldn't be sent until the end of February.

And congrats to everyone!

I went "decision made" on 12/9/2015. But still no acceptance email. Possible waitlist/rejection? ND was a reachfor me. Has anybody else not recieved an acceptance that went "decision made" yesterday?
