The former dean here it at Cornell now, so it makes sense they might be a bit slower with decisions this year. Good luck everyone!

Hey there! Have you received the resident fee waiver? I'm still waiting for mines. :(

I hadn't received mine until I called the Law School and asked about it. They clarified that you needed to be in the LSAC's candidate referral service and have a projected date of attendance. I had CRS, but I hadn't set a date; after I set it the fee waiver came like a week and a half later. If I remember correctly they send them out every other Monday.

Yeah, they told me the same thing, but I already had all that information correct. I haven't received anything yet :? Did you get an email from them when the fee waiver came?

Yep, I got an email from them like a week and a half later after I updated my profile with the date. Do you have yourself listed as a Texas resident?

Yes, I do. Well, it's only been a week since they told me, so I'll keep waiting. Thanks for the info! :D

I am going on vacation soon, so my roommate will tell me my results if I don't get them before I leave. I didn't think it would actually take so long.

Out of curiosity, I just went and checked on LSN, for what that's worth, and there were only three dots on the graph. Weren't applicants already being accepted/denied/hearing something by this time last year, or am I just anxiously imagining things? :)

Get used to waiting, lil' lawbros, you'll be doing a lot of it in your future. Applications. Grades. Jobs. Etc.

Going to remind everyone that the former dean is now at Cornell, so things might be going slower this cycle.

Is it a bad sign if we didn't get asked for a "Why Texas?" I don't really understand those.

No. If you still have time to do one and you can submit it, why not. I was in-state and did one and I think it helped w/ $$$. (Anecdotal, everybody's different, etc. etc.)

I don't think anyone (on TLS at least) has mentioned being asked to write a "Why Texas?" Maybe since UT adcomm seems to be going for a substantially slower admissions process this year they will send out requests for Why Texas essays later than they have previously. This is complete speculation, FWIW.

If I remember correctly, was ED, so dat $10k stipend thing sits nicely with in-state tuition.

Yep. My stats weren't too great, so I wagered the ED stipend would be around as much as I would get RD anyways even with negotiations.

Best of luck to everyone else with the admissions and scholarship process!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
