Re: Stanford C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016 cycle)
Okay, I am finally taking this poll down. I got to 30 votes, which is a huge landmark for me personally.
To sum up the results, a plurality of people in this thread would buy alcohol with their saved money.
In a three way tie for second are those who 1) have already put away childish things, and so were not willing to humor the question (thanks for chiming in!) 2) those who apparently need all of the money they can get for law school applications, and 3) the people who honestly hate Stanford, and now me, and inexplicably feel the need to tell me that on every poll. Seriously guys? But why? What did I do? I'm just using this thread to impress the Stanford admission's office (Dean Deal is HAWT!!)

I was hesitant to put the Legally Blonde option on there, because I've noticed that Legally Blonde options tend to win in landslides.salander wrote:Seconded!Hildegard15 wrote:This is the best poll so far. I approve.Dcc617 wrote:Also, new poll!

I'm actually under review and I did the sneaky tracker thing. Maybe I'm a special snowflake...

Re: Stanford C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016 cycle)
I was watching the 1995 horror movie "Demon Knight" as part of my October Horror Movie Extravaganza, and there was a scene that encapsulated my feelings towards Stanford.

I made it URL instead of posting the video straight so it would start at the relevant time (65 seconds in). But the whole movie is great. One of my favorite kind of cheesy horror movies.
I love you Stanford, all you have to do is let me in...

Welcome! Make sure that Stanford knows you're posting on this thread. I have it on good authority that it's a strong soft this year.bamb00zled wrote:Just submitted on LSAC!! Long time lurker, excited first time poster.

Re: Stanford C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016 cycle)
Checking in! I haven't submitted my application because I'm waiting on my October score. Quick question on the school-specific LORs Stanford seems to favor. Did you guys ask your recommenders to craft a different Letter specifically for Stanford?
I have recommenders who would be willing to add "Stanford" in front of law school in their generic letters, but I'm lost as to how I should ask them to do more than that. The truth is, every professor that I've ever spoken to for more than 30 minutes knows that Harvard is my dream school, and the truth is that if I were to make a decision today among HYS (one can always dream), S would be my third option (subject to change of course). So it's difficult for me to ask any of them to write a genuine Stanford-specific letter. None of my recommenders have any ties to Stanford either. Would it be better to just send in my general letter? Or should I still add the "Stanford" into the letter, along with perhaps a sentence or two that I'm sure the ad comm will be able to see right through? Thanks
