Re: Penn c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I ask because one of the primary reasons Penn is my top choice is because I grew up around here and attend college here. Every thing/person I know and love is in or around Philly (incl. a longterm gf that will still be in college here for a year after I graduate). The prompt about core values doesn't seem to allow for explaining personal reasons.

For the employment during undergrad section - does that only apply to paid work, or should I list internships as well?

Yeah, I'm pretty confused by the undergrad employment section. I've had a few summer/co-op positions, but not sure if those count as "employment during the academic year"? By this do they mean to only list jobs you had during terms where you were also in school full-time?barley wrote:For the employment during undergrad section - does that only apply to paid work, or should I list internships as well?
I also don't really understand the "hours worked per week beginning from freshman year" question, because I haven't worked evenly and consistently throughout the years - so whatever number I try to put down here will probably seem really misleading. There's also no room to really try to explain...
How are you guys dealing with this section?

The only schools that will realistically pull me from UVA are HYS. I still threw Penn an application for the lulz.urbanist11 wrote:Yes it's worth $30. Every cycle is a new cycle. I'm just saying that when your app fee is waived, you might as well send an application. After all, there are people doing it for reasons as unconvincing as lulz.urbanist11 wrote:Well that makes sense for you, doublehoodoublehoohopeful wrote:The only schools that will realistically pull me from UVA are HYS.
