Hope restored. For a second I was worried Stanford seriously upped their yield this year and the WL would be a crapshoot.lc39 wrote:140 members today. I still see at least a few commits elsewhere though.

Classes end today and finals are next week so idk if there will be much to see. I may be alone in this, but I actually don't find visiting schools to be very valuable even when school is in session.Cradle6 wrote:Hey guys, do any of you plan on visiting Stanford while on th Waitlist?
To any current students or people who have done this, what do you recommend doing while there?
Lol well I did call Columbia like five times this cycleOskosh wrote:I volunteer Mack to ask about the wait list, since he already got into Harvard.

I don't think it does.. they have extended offers last year during finals. I think admissions is separate from academics, unless they have people on the admission committee this year that also work in the academic department?Oskosh wrote:Mack, since it is June, would you mind changing the poll to ask which option currently reflects our status (admitted, WL, admitted, WL, rejectected, etc ?
Also, do you guys think that finals being in session affects when they begin looking at the class?

I don't know what's more surprising: that they started accepting people off the wait-list... Or that there are actual "LSAC conferences"Vincent wrote:I know of at least one person who's been admitted off the waitlist as of today (could have been a few days ago, though). Did they say anything about how big the waitlist is, how many people they expect to admit off of it, etc.?tal18 wrote:My understanding from speaking with the office last week is that only LLMs have moved off the wait list. No movement on JDs for "another couple weeks." That suggests next week at the earliest.
