Their status checker never goes to under review. It stays at application complete until the decision made. I was just accepted today and I've been complete since a little bit before you, so hold out hope!legallyrose wrote:I've been sitting on "Application Complete" since 11/14...What is going on?
Does the status go under review before a decision is made? Also, is the decision made via phone call or email or status checker?

Any information on the chances of an applicant that UNC "holds"? I have had this status for a few weeks now.

Yes, scholarship info came for me after about a week. That seems to be the consensus.
due to some schedule restraints, the only weekend I can visit is this weekend so ill be in chapel hill tomorrow. The admissions office said they don't do much in terms of tours, and I can self tour the law buildings on my own. Any recommendations of things I should look at/for while I'm there? im hoping a visit will solidify my decision to attend, and also hoping I can negotiate some more scholarship money from them.
TIA

Is the admission office even open on the weekend? I doubt you are going to be able to negotiate since no one will be there.

Edit: negotiate in the future. However when I called they told me that everything would be open normal hours. We will see today.

Just got the letter, 15000/year as long as I stay in good standing. How receptive are they to negotiations? I mean, I'm very happy with this, but I'll jump on any way to reduce loans even more.

I'm in-state and got it. I asked one of the deans about whether OOS students receive larger scholarship offers to offset the higher tuition and he said that they do not. So you should be finecuboxing25 wrote:does that 15000/yr count if you get in state status?

Your file is now complete. Review of applications will begin in November, and decisions will be sent between November and May 1, 2015. We will have our first round of admit decisions rendered by April 1, 2015 and all complete files will have a decision by May 1, 2015. This means that we will have made our admissions offers to those who will not be waitlisted or denied by April 1. Waitlist, hold, and deny decisions are being sent out on a rolling basis also. We will begin our second round of admissions offers from the waitlist beginning in mid-May (if necessary at that time). We will then admit from the waitlist throughout the summer. Please be assured that we are working diligently to process your application. We ask for your patience to allow this process to take place and request that you do not contact the Office of Admissions to confirm receipt of materials. You can check the Requirements List below to verify receipt of materials.
As we get to know you through your application, we also invite you to get to know us. We encourage you to visit us on the web at http://www.law.unc.edu for up to date information about the Law School. You will also find information about planning a visit to Carolina Law there as well. Thank you again for applying; we look forward to reviewing your application. If you have other concerns or additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Admissions at 919/962-5109 or at law_admissions@unc.edu.

Same thing happened to me. I'd assume that it does not mean anything. My app has been "complete" since 12/10LVbucknell wrote:I had my paragraph gone for a month now, and it just appeared again. does anyone know what this means?
