I did the same. Had it 2 weeks ago. Might be a conflict of interest, but if they're your top choice, I'd help you by recalling whatever I could from the interview.RainieNight wrote:Yup! Either way, the Assistant Dean was great; really easy to talk to.

Two weeks ago, however I have already received acceptances at similarly ranked schools that I submitted at the same time.Wattz wrote:When did you go complete?architecturas wrote:The agony is killing me.

By the way, do any of you plan to go to ASW in April? Considering Washington & Lee is in the middle of nowhere, I wonder how feasible it is to get there from DC.

I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to ASW or not. I'm back and forth on a couple of schools, so maybe.architecturas wrote:By the way, do any of you plan to go to ASW in April? Considering Washington & Lee is in the middle of nowhere, I wonder how feasible it is to get there from DC.
Getting to DC isn't awful. It's a 3 hour drive all on major highways and interstates. Getting to Richmond is easier as it's only a 2 hour drive and less traffic. Richmond definitely does not have nearly as many things to do or see as DC though. If you're taking a weekend trip, I'd definitely drive the extra hour and head into DC.

Well, I live in a different side of the country and I can't rent a car, so I'm wondering how plausible it is to do public transit in Virginia (don't know squat about Virginian transportation systems).MEAhrnsbrak wrote:I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to ASW or not. If you fly into Roanoke they'll arrange ground transportation for you.

Roanoke is definitely the way to go. I would highly recommend the ASW, I had a great time and they made a compelling case for themselves. For me W&L went from an afterthought to a big-time contender.

Quick question for those who went to ASW: I'm going next weekend and the email said it was casual dress. Do most people wear Nikes and jeans? I mean we are going to be walking around all day

I wore sneaks with khakis and a button down. So yeah, I think those in jeans would blend in better than the couple nerds I saw in suit and tie.looseycloosey wrote:Quick question for those who went to ASW: I'm going next weekend and the email said it was casual dress. Ever get anything?
Also, W&L looks pretty good from this perspective: http://taxprof.typepad.com/files/adams- ... ummary.pdf Also note the projected "2025" score

Thanks man, went this past weekend. Glad I went and saw the school...it is something that you definitely have to experience.Wattz wrote:I wore sneaks with khakis and a button down. Re: Washington & Lee C/O 2018
I'm on their waitlist as someone with lower stats than their average applicant (my LOR, person statement, and personal experience generally carry some of that burden). I've emailed them to schedule a phone interview and they said they'll note that I have continued interest in the school.
Anyone know how the waitlist work, in terms of likelihood to come off it? Do they still base it off the grades of those on it, or is it more arbitrary?
I would LOVE to go to W&L, but it seems like a golden opportunity just out of my reach.
