I've been accepted and given scholarship at UM/FSU, so we shall see if I get in at UF today. Still no e-mail or anything.
Looking over other posts ITT, I'm guessing it's a no? Doesn't say "Admitted/etc"

Anyone know if the letters actually are picked up by USPS the day our status changes to "notice issued"?

So they make us wait for ever in comparative review and now we have to wait for it to come in the mail. I should call them and ask if I got in lol.

To be honest, it'll probably take like 10 days for the letter to get to me.legallyrose wrote:At least you guys will KNOW in three daysthe anxiety is killing me...it's been 4 months

Your decision is coming soon! Have you had any status changes since you submitted?

Originally received a 57K scholarship with the first batch of admits (which is NOT a full ride). I emailed, noting my other acceptances and awards in mid Decemeber. I just received an email stating I have been given 62K total. Negotiating works, might as well try it.

Hey guys! Current UF Law 1L. I just wanted to let you know that I know what you are all going through. I got accepted at FSU the Friday after I applied but it took UF until the middle of February. I was a splitter. Anyway, the point is stay strong. It's a long process but it is definitely worth it.
And... if your status says "Final Decision Made; Notice Issue" you are in! UF does rejections via email and acceptances via snail mail.
I'm happy to take questions if there are any.

Can anyone explain why UF takes so long. Like others that posted I got into FSU within a week after going under review and UF has had my application for 4 months and still no response. To me UF's strategy doesn't make any sense.

I applied and went complete to both UF and FSU on 12/19. Status at UF changed to "Final decision made; notice issued" yesterday (1/14), but have yet to go under review at FSU. So not everyone is having the same experience as you. I'm having the opposite.Alta Law 05 wrote:Can anyone explain why UF takes so long. I emailed admissions about this last week and their response was:Alta Law 05 wrote:Can anyone explain why UF takes so long. "UF Law operates on a modified rolling admissions basis. This means that files are reviewed by the Committee in the order in which they are completed, but that does not necessarily mean that is the order in which decisions are made. Also, files are reviewed using a holistic and comparative approach. Therefore, your file will continue to be evaluated as more applications are received. Final decisions will be made no later than the end of April, although it is possible that you will receive a decision before then.
I hope this information helps. I wish I could give you an exact date for when you might receive a decision, but unfortunately, that is not possible with the review process we utilize."

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
