Had this problem too when I first applied. I called them and the person I spoke with told me it was because my transcript wasn't updated to confirm my graduation. I graduated in August and sent my transcripts before they had processed the final grades and confirmed my graduation. I'm not sure if that was a BS response on their part but I ended up sending LSAC an updated transcript and it worked out. It doesn't make sense for people that are still in their last year of UG though.pbv7791 wrote:What is the LSAC Final Undergraduate Transcript? I called the admissions office a couple of weeks ago and the person I spoke with couldn't answer my question.

I just received an email stating that we will hear about merit scholarships in mid-February. Does that include the in-state equalizer, or do you think we'll still find out about those in December?

When they called me, I asked about this and she said they will make decisions about the in-state equalizer later this month or in December, but the merit scholarship decisions will be made later.NasserK wrote:I just received an email stating that we will hear about merit scholarships in mid-February. In today w/ an email re-congratulating me on acceptance which was a bit odd because I wasn't even aware that I had ever been accepted. Regardless, very excited to have my first acceptance in the books. For those that are curious, I applied on 11/15 and received my re-congratulation on 11/20. I never checked my status.

Has anyone else been under review/was under review for almost the whole time (6-8 weeks they say on ASO)? I seen some people are having quick turnarounds of a couple of weeks. I'm going on week 5 now, getting a little anxious. Does being regular decision make a difference?

from reading this thread it seems like regular decision applicants started hearing back before ED but the deadline to hear back from ED is (i think) december 15th. I'm going on week 5 as well.

I'm regular decision and on week 5. To be quite honest, I'm really worried it's a bad sign that I still haven't heard anything. But maybe I'm just being paranoid.

I'm regular decision and yesterday was six weeks for me. I'm thinking it is a good sign I didn't get chucked right away but I hope to hear back soon!

I was just offered the tuition equalizer. So excited...almost ready to commit, but definitely waiting for the Feb 15 scholarships.

Does anyone know if it is possible to turn down an early decision admittance? I haven't been admitted, but I did already get into another school that I like more than I thought I would, so I am just curious how it works if I did get in through early decision by some chance.

UGA is binding I think so I would think not. Did you have to sign something with the application? It usually outlines their terms on that. It is essentially a binding contract from my understanding.

All I remember is that I checked a box saying I was applying early. I'm not sure if I signed as well or not. Believe me it would be a miracle if I got in ED, but at the same time I'm really excited about another school and I keep having to remind myself that there is still a possibility that I might not be able to have a choice now.

Applied 3 months ago ED. Received a letter in snail mail today. Said a decision couldn't be reached at the present time and I would be entered into the regular admission cycle. Kinda bull crap they kept me waiting that long just to tell me I have to wait some more. Whatevs

I received that letter too, but my status page still says under review and that the process takes 6-8 weeks.. I'm assuming that probably no longer applies?

Anybody know the general timeline admissions will be working for the holidays? My week 6 will be right before Christmas. You think they'll probably wait till after the new year to reach a decision?

I called their office yesterday, because my 8th week falls right after Christmas. The office and admission committee will be working until about Wed probably. The girl said they probably weren't going to be sending many decisions out before, so just look for something around the new year.penguino wrote:Anybody know the general timeline admissions will be working for the holidays? Some potential good news for those new students. UGA just got their largest ever bequest from Sander's estate.

Re: University of Georgia Law c/o 2018
Hey guys! I submitted my app yesterday and just accessed the applicant status portal for the first time. Every "requirement" box is checked except the "LSAC Final Transcript" one. Isn't the transcript sent with the CAS report though? I know some of y'all discussed this earlier, but I'm not sure what to do since I'm a 4th year undergrad.
UPDATE: I talked to UGA, and they said undergrads should not worry about this requirement being unchecked. They just want a final transcript when we graduate.
