Anyone wanting to land Chicago would need good grades. "Good grades" is slightly subjective, but anecdotally, top 10% did well, top 20% did OK; beyond that, it was tough and a bit more random (some top 1/3 got biglaw, some top 25% did not). NY is uncommon, but again, that is most likely due to self-selection (I don't know where everyone landed, but I do know that some IP folks at least had interviews there).
