My other options are not that fantastic. UCLA with 90k over 3 years or Cornell with 36k over the 3 years.

that's not true! your other options are fantastic. ucla with 90k is amazing. i wouldnt take cornell over nyu for 36k though (not that you solicited my opinion, but anyway...) this is a tough decision for me also.

Still haven't heard anything since DLS on Tuesday. I was able to log in to the Admitted Students Page, but not until yesterday afternoon. This silence is unsettling
Others who got in last week -- what did your email/letter/call say? What's the timeline like? Is there anything additional they need RE financial aid application, aside from NeedAccess and FAFSA (which I submitted in January)? It'd be nice to know, just in case this isn't a glitch and I actually got in....

I went DLS Friday (5/9) morning, was able to log in to ASW that afternoon and received my letter in the mail on Monday (5/12). My financial aid application status checker became active 5/13 and I just received my decision yesterday (5/15). There is no other form besides the NeedsAccess so you should be good. I don't think it'd hurt to call them and check if you don't hear anything in a few days.
Regarding the scholarship, they offered me $37,500. I am still in shock and really excited. I still have a lot of thinking to do but am pretty sure I'll be at NYU this fall!

Not yet. There should be some movement at the end of this week or early next after the two-week deadline for the recent WL-Accept wave ends. Here's to hoping!

NYU just emailed me and said they never got my response saying I want to stay on the wait list and are withdrawing me from consideration. I had emailed them and called to confirm they got it when I didn't hear back. Id also sent an LOCI afterwards and received a reply thanking me for my continued interest....I just e-mailed them saying I want to stay on the wait list and included all the dates I contacted them and forwarded them those e-mails as well. Hope this hasn't happened to anyone else! May want to confirm if you haven't heard from them!

Relax. You sound like a spaz right now. Sounds like they definitely messed up but that doesn't make them idiots. I'm sure they'll rectify the situation by assigning you to the waitlist now. I hope you used a better tone in communicating with them than the one your using here - maybe if you'd showed understanding and grace in your communications, then you could've made this mix-up work in your favor.

I thought other people might benefit from knowing about this and would want to check in with NYU. I was much more professional in my e-mail to them and used it as another opportunity to express my strong interest in the school. Hopefully it'll work in my favor in the long run. Thanks for the concern though.

dancers1126, maybe you want to delete that post if you really do want to stay on their waitlist. Can't imagine NYU adcomms look on this website often, but...

I used this forum as a place to spaz but was much more professional in my e-mail to them and used it as another opportunity to express my strong interest in the school. Hopefully it'll work in my favor in the long run. I just used TLS to freak out but kept it very cool with them. Thanks for the concern though.
Good for you and good luck, then. But please don't make spazzing/freaking out your only contributions; too many people do that already.

If I was still in a position to accept an offer, or if I already committed to another school... I'm not sure what it means.
