Did anyone else's status update on the 19th still at UR and again on the 20th??
I'm hoping this means a decision is coming soon!!

My status stayed December 16th. I was hoping for something before Christmas. I feel like it will be the second week of January now.

Status changed to 12/20, but application still under review... what does this mean?

Based from last year's thread, a decision is usually made after the third status date change.

How generous is UH? I'm pretty set on Texas, but UH is a close 2nd with some good money.viz-luv wrote:UH 1L here, still ama. I wanted people to know that the official staff/admin break ends on the 2nd. hang in there

notoriously stingy (top amounts are usually 1 full ride and the next group is a bit over half tuition), negotiate and consider a diversity statement (even if not urm yourself experiences could be important, one of my classmates did this)
NOTE -- UT would almost certainly be the better option for most people with any sort of scholarship. I am here for pretty specific reasons and when you are staring down finals you will be wondering about UT no matter how "right" your decision was at the time. also, looking at SMU they charge way more if you get an in-state waiver at UH, but really if you don't pick UT it is SMU for dfw or UH for Houston and work hard to minimize debt. retakes in February are accepted so do it if it will help and your studying is still caught up (I did, so worth it) and negotiate!

On third status date change, but nothing yet. So far they have released acceptances every other Friday.
