In! Via phone call last night, then snail mail packet/email just now (they are very thorough). Graduate fellowship and $10k scholarship. I'm >75th LSAT, 25th-50th gpa. I haven't been following the status checker super well, but I only submitted about two weeks ago, so I had a fast turnaround. Good luck to those still waiting.

I got my package in the mail finally; it took ~10 days to arrive, but I'm in TX. Received the graduate fellowship that roughly amounts to $39,000 over 3 years.

I was accepted last week as well and W&M has been so cordial and welcoming all the way from the message on the acceptance letter, to the personal phone call, and the scholarship offer. I've also been held for further reviews. I called the admissions office and they weren't very helpful about what that means. Is anyone with the same status sending a LOCI or is it too early for that?

What do you mean exactly? I was one of the grad fellowship admits (though I didn't apply for it), so I'm curious as to how many people get the fellowship.

My file is listed as incomplete, although they've received my application several days ago. Should I send an email asking I need to send something else...or has it just not been initially reviewed yet?

I received my $$$ info through a USPS Priority Mail. They called me to tell me I had been accepted on a Sunday but they said they had mailed the packet on Friday. It was delivered on Tuesday I think. Congratulations!

How long does it take from the time one is admitted via email to the actual letter arriving by mail? It has been over a week and I haven't heard anything. I'd love to know my $$ status.

Congrats! Mine came via the UPS package they send, a day or two after the email (East Coast).

Did they actually offer a specific position? In my letter they just mentioned that, at least in the first year, I would work either in the law school administration or law school library. They didn't say exactly what I'd be doing.

To anyone familiar with W&M: how important is it to have ties to the area if you're shooting for DC metro or the other large cities in VA? Is the W&M degree portable to other areas where you have stronger ties?

I like the idea of studying at a school/area with so much history and having a shot to practice in the DC area, but I'm worried about my lack of ties to that part of the country.
