Re: Georgetown c/o 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
I applied, but I just sent in my app on 10/15, so I'm not expecting to hear back yet. I would think we wouldn't hear back on this until later in the cycle, but I haven't read anything. Anyone know?christobel wrote:Did anyone else apply/have insight into the Public Interest Law Scholars Program?

Honestly, really surprised I got in so early RD. I have a median LSAT but a sub-25% GPA. This could be a really wacky cycle.

Was your GPA lower? What kind of softs did you have, etc?

My GPA was slightly lower. I'm a military officer with overseas deployments, and have some civilian service with the federal government. Also have a masters.linkx13 wrote:I'm at 168 and 3.47TheSpanishMain wrote:Honestly, really surprised I got in so early RD. I have a median LSAT but a sub-25% GPA. This could be a really wacky cycle.

Does GULC include scholarship offers with the acceptance?

No. Or not so far anyway. The acceptance was just a two page letter with a note from Dean Cornblatt at the bottom. I assume more details will follow at some point.

Did anyone get the email about interviewing with Alumni in your area? Even if its just some general email I'm super happy about getting another shot to interview. Missed the one with the Dean on Monday because of a work commitment.

From reading through last year's GULC, it looks like scholarship offers don't usually come out until the end of the cycle. I wouldn't worry.TheSpanishMain wrote:Nope. Unless I just got totally frozen out for money.bb2418 wrote:Does GULC include scholarship offers with the acceptance?

Did you have the same LSAT? I have a few strong softs like yours, though not military.TheSpanishMain wrote:My GPA was slightly lower. Got my letter of acceptance through good old USPS. 2/2. I think it's time to quit while I'm still ahead.
