In! Got a call from the dean today at work. He also let me know I got a merit based scholarship! Woohoo!

Applied 10/10, received confirmation of application being complete 10/14.

In today with a call from the dean! (I missed the call yesterday, though; I doubt they're making any more acceptance calls this week.) Full-tuition scholarship

Application went complete 11/15, btw.

That's amazing. Congratulations! I went complete a couple of weeks ago and am hoping to hear back before Christmas.

For those already applied, and especially those accepted haha, did you all write something for the programmatic contribution section of the application? Is this kind of like a "why UCLA statement"? I'm just unsure whether its a write only if you have something very relevant to say or not. Thanks!

Thanks! I know that I got lucky, was not expecting a decision so soon either. Good luck with your applications!

Yes, I am in-state, born and raised in California. Scholarships were not mentioned during the phone call, I'm hoping for some money later though.

I also got in last week, less than a two week turnaround, with money, out of state. PM for stats, though I don't think they were that impressive... Ecstatic to hear the news this early!

For the person who asked, I also answered the programmatic contribution question, though it was maybe three sentences long.

Is there any consensus on how long it takes for UCLA to register an application as complete? My professor just sent in his letter of recommendation last week, so it should be complete now but I haven't heard. Assuming this is normal or possibly has to do with the holiday weekend but...

Can't speak for anyone else here, but I sent my application on the 26th (close to midnight) and went complete the next day. Fastest turnaround out of all the schools I've applied to so far.
