Anyone who's had a decision: did you notice any date or status changes? I still haven't had any movement since the beginning.

Mine was complete 12/19 and I was accepted 1/7. I don't recall any date changes (but it was the holidays) until the day I got the acceptance email- It changed to that days date and "admitted" shortly after.

I went complete the same day and had a status update on 1/7 as well. No decision yet, though.

I just saw that they've extended the deadline for the PIPS app until Jan 31st. So it's gonna be a while until we get a decision, I guess.

LOL that doesn't sound promising for the applicants who submitted earlier. "Due to a total lack of qualified applicants we have decided to extend the deadline in the hopes of attracting someone better to give a scholarship to."

I applied for a PIPS scholarship as well. I thought they gave out the decision and scholarship separately, but maybe they're together?

Well there goes that idea. Maybe they're handwriting all of our acceptances and putting gold stickers on them. Or writing the word "no" in crayon, in my case

Sounds like what happened to the November/December applicants who had an update with no status change in late December. Your requirement boxes may be empty now too.

WCL is notorious for YP.

Do they get dinged for accepting someone with very low numbers and that person withdraws? Reverse yield prevention?

I'm in a similar boat as well. 170/3.26, submitted 10/26, complete 11/4, been stuck on "Application Complete" since 11/25

American is notorious for Yield protection though. Looking at last cycles LSN #s, with just a handful of exceptions every applicant that had an LSAT >= 169was WLed or outright rejected. Unfortunately it also looks like most of those WL decisions weren't released until late March or early April, so it could be a while.

I submitted 1/6 and my complete date updated on 1/29. But at 169/3.59 sounds like I shouldn't wait by the phone...

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if US News dings schools for YP?
