IS it true that acceptances may be granted up til the 1st day of class?
I have a few friends that are now 2Ls- they said the latest anyone got accepted was a few days before orientation, since that's mandatory for all students. I would assume most T-14ers have done their money/acceptance gamblings by then and have decided on one school. But in June, many people are still double deposited. I bet we will see movement in July off this list.
How do some of you feel about the loans only? They recommend 80k with living. 80k x 3 = 240,000 before interest. I know NU boasts better employment stats then lower ranked schools but that debt terrifies me with all that's going on in the field of law. Thoughts?
Assuming some of us are accepted...
It just means that you'd HAVE to get a BigLaw job. And keep it for a good 3-5 years. While that might be attractive now, I think you have to consider how you'd feel about not having any other options, 3 years of school and brutal OCI later. Only if you're ok with that, should you take NU @ sticker.
(For the record, I have no idea for me, personally.)

Anyone else get the waitlist e-mail? That's really weird. I filled out the response form on the night I got my decision but the e-mail implies that those who received it have yet to respond and will be given one last chance to remain in consideration.

I got it too. I called right away because I did my response form in the next breath after I got my wait list letter. I spoke with Christina and she was very helpful and nice. I opted to stay under consideration until forever. Pending my own death or the end of the world, which ever comes first.
I hope this means there will be a round of offers going out soon. Maybe we should start a pool...

I kinda asked her that. She made it sound like it didn't. Especially since I had sent in another LOR. She also encouraged another LOCI. So.
I wonder if maybe their waitlist is not so long, since they gave us all another chance to fill out the response form...

I had not sent one in since I was wait listed. I was trying to space out my correspondence a few weeks. So I have only sent one, but I am getting ready to send another per her suggestion.

Thanks for the info
No one wants to cross the "one-too-many-loci" line and just annoy NU.
Good luck with your loci!

I sent one when I went on hold in Jan, one before they started reviewing hold candidates and one more after the wait list decision in late May. So that's 3 for me. But that's as many as I'm going to send. I think 3 is already pushing it.
Did everyone get a wait list response email like DaRascal and emaliefaythe? Or are there others here who didn't any correspondence of that sort?

I didn't get an email. I called this morning. The lady on the phone said for some reason some people's responses didn't save up. She checked mine and said it was ok.

Anybody get money off the WL?
When I called a couple weeks ago, they said money was out but if somebody with money withdraws, it's possible to get some after they put the money back in the pool.
Wondering if someone actually got some $$.
