It's coming. It won't be as exciting as that JS2 you received, but it'll still feel pretty cool nonetheless.ManOfTheMinute wrote:Why does no one love me?!?!spicyyoda17 wrote:I've gotten one.bernaldiaz wrote:Have you guys been getting congratulations emails from different people in the SLS community (alumns, professors) over the past couple days? Yea, I was wondering the same thing. I got two -- one from Dean Deal and one from Dean Magill, and both had 1 paragraph of personalized stuff pulled from the resume, and the rest was clearly ctrl+v'd.
Still, it clearly took effort and was nice. I replied with a thank-you.

I got a personal email from a student. I've asked him a couple questions and he's been really nice about it (and I got some new information: open containers are allowed anywhere on campus!). Other than that I just got the Dean Magill mail merge (she mentioned my UG).

They're heavily recruiting me because of all my minimum wage food services experience. Don't feel bad, not everyone can get on my level.vzapana wrote:I didn't get an email from dean magill. I guess I'm not a special snowflake...

Hey guys, if we have submitted FAFSA and Need, when can we expect to hear back regarding our aid packages? I'm dying to find out if i qualify for any haircut at all, but i am skeptical because of my salary last year.
Will it be an email or snail mail? Has anybody else heard yet?

Not sure, but I think the offer might show up on axcess under the financial aid history by term or whatnot (this is a total guess)az21833 wrote:Hey guys, if we have submitted FAFSA and Need, when can we expect to hear back regarding our aid packages? Also, I finally got any email from somebody, so I don't feel as unloved as last week

For some reason, my mind is telling me you should hear within two weeks of submitting. They send an email.az21833 wrote:Hey guys, if we have submitted FAFSA and Need, when can we expect to hear back regarding our aid packages? Do you think you might be confused with HLS? They "promise" a ten-day turnaround timeDavidbentley wrote:For some reason, my mind is telling me you should hear within two weeks of submitting. I mentioned this earlier but SLS admissions told me that they were still waiting on the university writ large to decide on the law school's budget and would start sending out offers late Feb/ early March, so I would guess within the next couple weeks we will get offers.ManOfTheMinute wrote:Do you think you might be confused with HLS? Sorry. Perhaps I am. Mine was a pretty quick 5 day turnaround, but I didn't submit until a little later.ManOfTheMinute wrote:Do you think you might be confused with HLS? I submitted my app in mid-November and, according to the application check website, it was submitted for review on 11/26. Is it a bad/good sign that I haven't heard anything yet?

(b) its not a great sign, but its not a bad sign: http://www.mylsn.info/whenwilliknow.php
seems like there are plenty of acceptances coming, and I'm too lazy to check lsn but if there was a big wave of dings from nov completes, then you missed that huge spike in february so odds aren't looking tooo shitty
