Received a scholarship email last night. Full OOS tuition award for the first year and $12,000 per year after that, with the opportunity to apply for additional scholarships during the springs of 1L and 2L. Stats in profile.

Got the same offer. Pretty sweet stuff considering you can get residency after 1L.

Congrats to both of you. This is the second best offer the school permits, with very, very few people getting the full-rides.

Thanks Randolph. Apologies if someone's asked this already but I'm too lazy to look through now--any idea how easy it is to get residency after 1L? The email I got regarding the scholarship made it sound like one's ability to get in-state tuition for 2L and 3L was pretty much an assumed success (i.e. they showed the post-scholarship tuition cost with the note that first year was out-of-state and 2L/3L were in-state).

I didn't talk to like anyone else about doing this, but I also didn't hear anyone bitching. I found it relatively easy. I think I managed to forget to attach one document when I first submitted it, they sent me a letter that told me that, went in and dropped it off and was done.

In state after 1L is automatic assuming you fill out the paperwork.

I got in 1/10 and haven't heard a scholly decision yet. I did receive a personal email from the admissions staff about why CU was a good choice, but still waiting on $$.

Applying tomorrow...3.25/169...chances? 4 years out of undergrad, no great work experience in between, but assuming I'll get in despite applying late...is this misguided? It's probably my #1 school for a variety of reasons, quality of life leading the way.

Write a letter of continued interest if you get wait listed. Then if you get admitted, be sure to negiotiate for $$$. You should apply to some mid west T1s that are splitter friendly for this purpose.
