Re: William & Mary c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Exactly at median LSAT, sitting around 25% GPA. Accepted in a few weeks ago, received a note at the bottom of my letter telling me to send in my Fall 2012 grades in order to receive additional review for scholarship consideration. Obviously, no scholly info in the packet either.
Anyone else in the same boat? I'm unsure what to make of it.

I also did not write any additional essays

I'm in the same boat as a lot of other people in that there's no update of my status. Sent in 11/15 - I have a guess that it might take them a bit longer to call mine complete since I'm in-state and had to fill out that separate form, but they do say Residency is complete on status check. Huh...
Anyways - this is all exciting that people are hearing back so quick! I love WM and wrote a "why WM" statement. I'm a big splitter, so curious to see what happens here.

Same here, except I sent mine in from the 6th... Slightly nerve-wracking although I'm trying not to think too hard about it. I really like W&M.2012Split177 wrote:I'm in the same boat as a lot of other people in that there's no update of my status.

Seems like they took the week off for the holiday. I went complete on the Friday before thanksgiving and no movement for me. I'm sure they will be busy this week.

Got a call from Dean Shealy this afternoon checking to see that I got my admissions packet and if I had any questions about my graduate fellowship. Thought it was a nice touch.

Status update, in review. Top choice if I get a scholarship comparable to others on TLS. That's a big if for me, though.

Had a voicemail from the dean yesterday. I just got back to my apartment from break and had a nice package from W&M with a $10,000 a year scholarship offer. Not much, but considering my LSAT is their 25th percentile I'll take it.

If it makes you feel better, I've been IN review for a month and a half. That has to be a worse sign than not being in review at allzoomzoom88 wrote:i went complete in october and still havent gone into review. if your numbers are lower it could be a long time.

I have been "in review" for over a month as well. I have been assuming they mean their first round of reviews and the fact that I haven't heard back yet at least means I'm not outright rejected. But who really knows...BlueJeanBaby wrote:If it makes you feel better, I've been IN review for a month and a half. Yay! Finally admitted, first admit this cycle so I'm VERY happy (everything else is sadly still pending)
No "Why W&M" essay submitted, for those who were curious if it helps determine admittance (although if I was more towards the 25th percentile in either GPA/LSAT than the 75th I'd probably write one to play it safe)
168/3.72, strong softs for my age (22)
Went complete 11/15, school was closed for Thanksgiving and just got in today! Congrats to all other accepts!!! Can't wait to get my acceptance packet.

I don't think they have rejected anyone, right? I just figured they were waiting to reject me until after the holidays. Nice of them! hahaariadne328 wrote:I have been "in review" for over a month as well. I have no idea if they have rejected anyone yet. I like you idea they are waiting until after the holidays! It will make for a merrier season.BlueJeanBaby wrote:I don't think they have rejected anyone, right? I just figured they were waiting to reject me until after the holidays. Looking at data from last year, it looks like people receive rejections around March. I don't know that they reject people outright right away. I've been in review now for awhile, too....part of me just feels like "oh for goodness sakes, just lower the boom already if you're going to reject me!" but then I try to stay positive
Congratulations to the accepted!

Admitted via status checker today, so excited! W & M is definitely a top choice of mine, and I was beginning to lose hope that I'd get in!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
