Now that we're in waitlist mode, all bets are off as far as patterns are concerned.

I got in off the wait list a couple weeks ago. Got the "gauging interest" phone call wed, got DSL on Friday and could log in to the ASW by Friday night, then got an official phone call on monday followed by a letter. Never got an email.[/quote]

I don't know if they follow a pattern but the other people I know who got in off the waitlist in the first wave with me were contacted on the same days, and had the dsl on the same day. I dont know if they'll follow the same pattern. I just wanted to give you guys a heads up that your best bet is to check the status checker and/or attempt to log in to the ASW if you dont want to wait around for a phone call/ find out ASAP if you got in. But you most def wont get an email

I wouldn't say that we def won't get an email, since they usually try to expedite things at this point (meaning they will likely try to contact us ASAP), but it's good to keep in mind that they may contact us another way

I called them this morning to update my mailing address, and the guy I talked to said "perfect timing". This leads me to believe that if I (and we) are going to be admitted, notification will be soon, and, at least in part, by post.

My DLS and ASW access happened on a Friday, and I didn't get my call until Monday afternoon. Many people get their calls from NYU the business day *after* the decision's official.

I was admitted off the WL in early May.
