Wishful thinking or based on something?
Does your thought process go for the entire batch of 2/17-3/19-ers?
Quite admittedly, it's mostly wishful thinking; I'm a dyed-in-the-wool optimist...think Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead. I'll say that numbers-wise, our group seems to be weaker. And I think we're being evaluated against one another for that reason. I'm guessing that a lower proportion of us will be admitted, but that there will still be some.
Personally, I believe I've made it abundantly clear to Penn that I would attend at the drop of a dime. I've visited twice, spoken face-to-face with Dean Post, written what I consider to be a strong LOCI that I had a friend on the Review drop off in person, and I've been admitted to their Education School. I'm well aware my numbers aren't quite up to snuff, but Penn has a reputation for looking at the whole applicant. I think an older, more experienced individual such as myself would bring some outside perspective and balance to what can be an insular experience sometimes divorced from reality. And not to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty darn impressed with myself as a whole person.
The question, of course, is if Penn is as impressed!
