Re: University of Arizona c/o 2015 (2011-12 Cycle)
Just a theory, but maybe they're all being mailed on the 23rd and the different days are just data entry things.... It took 3 days for my acceptance letter from San Diego to get to Atlanta. I think that 4 days is more than enough time for letters to get from UA to other parts of Tucson - esp this week when the postal service is working overtime.
I agree....rejections going out first and then acceptances or vice versa makes little sense, with 4 days difference? why? All the people who got the message last week show a date of 12/23, which is the date i believe all the decisions which have been reached till now will be sent out. The people who got the message this week show the date the actual status itself was input, like 12/19 or 12/21-12/22 and someone from instate not getting it by now is pretty good proof the letter itself hasn't been sent out yet. Seemed like a data entry thing from beginning, now im pretty sure that it is. But if thats right I think its likely status checkers will update tomorrow, lets hope so!
Thanks Benito! That's exactly what I was trying to say, but obviously failed miserably. I just couldn't understand why they would enter a letter a whole week before they planned on mailing it unless the letters are all going out on the same day. Not sure how significant the date is for rejections/acceptances etc... I'm curious as to how many rejections they'll be handing out this early tho since the Oct LSAT had 26% fewer takers than last year which indicates that applicants will be down as well.

I wasn't trolling. That question was the only reason I had to create a profile. I just wanted to see if that had happened to anyone else's status checker.

I guess that means if you don't have it you were rejected?

I wouldn't jump to conclusions. The previous updates have come in waves over the last few days, I'd wager that the same goes for this.favrefire4 wrote:I guess that means if you don't have it you were rejected?

Yeah. Just not sure what's going on with Arizona. I guess everything this year is different for them too, so no one knows.

FWIW, mine wasn't updated before, but it is now....maybe I was overreacting earlier or maybe this is completely random?

I guess I'm starting to think that if you don't have that, it isn't good news...confusedprelaw wrote:FWIW, mine wasn't updated before, but it is now....maybe I was overreacting earlier or maybe this is completely random?

My requirements list changed, as well. It shows first and second seat deposits, ug transcript, etc..

I also have First and Second Seat Deposits, as well as Undergraduate requests etc under my Requirements list. But for those who don't have it, I wouldn't give up hope yet. Lots of schools have this and it means nothing. Good luck to everybody, and happy holidays.

So I'm back in Phoenix for the holidays. But my address is in DC where I am at for school. So I don't know if I'm going to get my letter for another 3 weeks when I'm back in DC. In my requirements list, it has 1st and 2nd deposits, and undergraduate transcripts. I was a 12/19 decision letter sent.

Does your status say if a decision letter has been mailed and if so, when?Gail wrote:wtf? are traffic tickets really that bad?

Re: University of Arizona c/o 2015 (2011-12 Cycle)
Just a prediction, but I think a lot of us will be getting held for decisions with the rest of the applicant pool. Law school applicants are down significantly from last year, so I'm wondering if they are trying to gauge the applicant pool. A Dec 2 cutoff may not have yielded the type of pool they were looking/hoping for. I noticed that there were around 1500 applicants last year and in 2009 there were over 2000. Just a thought.

I have letter mailed on 12/19, and it just updated my seat deposit today/yesterday...favrefire4 wrote:Maybe they're in the process of updating them now...I'm willing to bet that most people's who were sent out on 12/19 were acceptances, like I originally thought. Probably just haven't gotten around to updating all the status checkers yet.
Wonder if this means acceptance?
